While I am hopeful the news will be very positive, I have been disappointed on several occasions before when the SP has barely shifted on supposedly good news, consequently I would temper expectations somewhat. Otherwise if it’s not as good as some of us anticipate the SP will go into reverse…again!

Point taken Violindog, but I’m just not convinced they know much more than we do when it comes to assessing the true value of Scancell. As Bermudashorts points out Panmure Gordon estimate 23.2p while Stifil are at 30p. Given recent developments my gut feel is that they may all be on the ‘light’ side, but that may be wishful thinking on my part!!

Serious question, does it really matter what TD value Scancell at? It has been 36.7p for months while we have been at 9p!! As a LTH nice to see, but I hardly give it a second thought!

Matt, Business sales and communications 0/10….couldn’t agree more. I certainly don’t blame anyone on the BB for my investment decisions . I read each posting with interest and happen to think the exchanges on this BB are often informative, well researched and most importantly lack the vitriol you often get on other BB’s. I just find it difficult to reconcile LD’s enthusiasm and positivity at the AGM with where we are now - something doesn’t add up……but what do I know!!

Well I’m “holed way below the water line” and the only good thing is that I have no real alternative but to hold on and hope for a change of fortune! If I lose the lot it will be a very painful lesson. I’m not that naive that I didn’t expect the SP to fluctuate quite a bit but I just find it hard to believe we have gone from such positive narrative from the CEO and Diggle expressing such excitement in the company last November to where we are now. As I say it’s a really sore one to take!

Hi Cleanerworld, great find and fascinating to hear from the patient, but particularly Prof Ottenmeiser - I’m certainly no expert but it could well be related to the Modi 1 trial - it sounds very like it. If it is then fantastic, firstly for the patient, plus Scancell and their investors. Adrian Taylor must literally pinch himself every morning - he embraced the trial as he had run out of options, but it sounds as if it has been hugely successful, indeed Prof Ottenmeiser was very hopeful his lung cancer would disappear!!What a positive statement to make in a public forum! !Even if it’s not Modi 1 it’s fantastic to hear of a treatment that is getting on top of this terrible disease….fingers etc crossed!

WTP I hope I’m wrong, of course, but to release potentially ground breaking news just as we enter the prime summer holiday months could IMO dilute the impact somewhat. As I say just trying to temper my expectations of an imminent RNS. As Crumbs however said it’s not all about ModiFY so here’s hoping.

WTP please don’t get me wrong, just trying to temper my expectations ! Almas, you make a good point - just doesn’t feel like the right time to be releasing really positive information to me and can the expiry date not be moved??

WTP that is why I think Lindy will want a significant amount of, hopefully, positive data before announcing anything. Very much doubt we will hear anything for quite some time and certainly not now as we head into the summer holidays.

I think Lindy is doing a “Belt & Braces” job on the data and will not release anything until the data is, hopefully, overwhelmingly positive. Not good for the SP but I just feel we may well have some time to wait yet.

Someone seems to have sold off a chunk of shares in 25000 lots! I’m keeping the faith but my holding continues to diminish in value. I’ll just need to strap in for a very bumpy ride!

Made a couple of reasonable size buys today also and, as usual, identified as sells!! Something has to be going on in the background as 2023 has generally been extremely quiet - remaining patient and positive!

GF123” relax….it will be worth it” . Tend to agree with your comments - you can palpabably feel the frustration in the exchanges on this board!! It’s been SO quiet this year that I believe there is something big going on in the background! Wishful thinking…maybe, but looking back over previous years there has been a more activity (by Scancell) , yet here we are with so much going on….yet really nothing to report from Scancell. I’m genuinely extremely optimistic!! Time will tell.

Odd time to sell quite large holdings?

Kashdog made some very good points, some of which I had been considering whenever my confidence in Scancell takes a wobble. There may be elements of uncertainty regarding the progress/success of the trials but, so far, nothing overly negative yet here we are at 15.5 with no sign of the decline halting. Then we get the excellent post by Burble which summarises where we are and why we should look at the potential of a wide range of benefits going for Scancell. In short we are not a “one trick pony”!

Brilliant news but I wonder , given the ‘radio silence’ from Scancell, whether they are reluctant to say anything until they have considerably more positive data from multiple patients. I appreciate what I am saying is not rocket science but I just wonder if our expectations of hearing, hopefully, positive news soon might be a touch optimistic? I think we may need to be patient for a while longer!

I think we just need to be patient for another few weeks, or dare I say it, months - given many of us have been holding positions for several years, what’s another few months? I’m hoping nothing happens over the next couple of weeks and I will top up again after 5th April. I feel confident the “ducks are being lined up in a row” and our patience will be rewarded. If I’m wrong I can live with it!!

It’s all totally beyond me - never invested in a share quite like Scancell, but there again I have never invested in this sector! I remain convinced by the science and intend to top up when it, inevitably, drops a good deal further . Need to turn a negative into a positive!!
