Yep, getting paid more than 30% for HAV could easily be agreed and a notional payment for the part proven potential for other licences too. It could be dressed up as anything .
So, just for arguments sake and on the basis of a few positive drill results elsewhere, how many on this board would turn up their noses on any offer over 100p that was recommended by the board or indeed ANY offer recommended by the board

If any other licences show anything remotely promising the whole game will change and do not think for I minute the fact NC have not reached the 70% of HAV is in anyway a stumbling block that cannot be removed by mutual agreement and recommendation by the GGP board.
If any offer is made by NC or anyone else who has a good idea about eventually what will come out of the ground at HAV SCALLY etc and they make the offer attractive enough but discounted for risk & timing, the board are very likely to recommend it to shareholders.
IMO that is pretty attractive rather than waiting to judge the best time to sell, which if obvious would trigger millions or even billions of shares being sold. Only a few would see true value at that point

Logically NC will want it simply because whatever price iif agreed it will be one that suits both parties and from NC s perspective they will be buying at a discount which takes into consideration cash spent up front and risk of gold price either falling or at best current price.
They will want it all on their balance sheet assets I have no doubt about that.

No need to concern yourself about shorters in GGP as there are unlikely to be any at all.
If there are PI traders who are shorting, they are not borrowing to short but will short using a spread bet.
I am pretty sure the spread bet companies will be happy to write that and not bother to hedge.
Pretty sure they will hedge and buy GGP shares when punters take long bets on the GGP SP

Correction , if I was invested in PRIM I would be banging on their door demanding to know why they have been selling.
That is utter madness but then you would would be mad to buy into them in the first place.

I never question sales as too many reasons which may have sod all to do with how the sellers think what may happen over the next few weeks, if they have made a profit good on them and if not then tough that they are not in a position to hold.

As good as the prospects like SW look, you have to remember it is very rare to discover finds such as HAV appears is becoming.
Was not that long ago many of us were salivating over EG only to be disappointed.
I sincerely hope to be shot down come the SW results but in the here and now its all about HAV and anything else will be the cherry on top of the cake.

While on the subject of balance sheets & debt, I remember watching through a presentation on the subject of debt on company balance sheets and impact on a company’s SP compared to a company with no debt.
The rule of thumb in the market is if the company who takes on debt which the market sees as positive ( rather than borrowing to just maintain itself) the market will calculate the expected return relative to the debt and factor that into the SP.
bottom line was that when comparing to companies with exactly the same product shares in issue and SP. the example explained how the company with new debt had a much higher SP

Getting the asset onto the balance sheet is also relative to NC as much as it is to GGP. Another reason they are moving at pace.

Of the cash in bank are we ploughing through with all the what looks like extra drilling.
It looks like a lot but interestingly if we are emptying the coffers at a fast rate it can only mean GH is expecting the coffers will be replenished soon.

Agreed the aisc for Telfer is about $1188 compared to Cadia at $ 122

Temper that with big sales after employees have been converting options to shares.

They need to shake out the traders from investors that bought last week first.
Then up it will go and catch out any sellers today who planned buying back cheaper.
It is not always a 1 day game , the MM s can play over several days

What is the estimate that HAV will bring to reduce the costs and increase margin to anything like Cadia

I really don’t think there was any shorts. The only shorts IMO per my post on 15 Sept predicting the MM s would borrow to fill the big order then drop the price to gather shares so to settle the borrow returns. They never bought enough on the run up so even if they had been carrying some shares they would not want to be left with a zero position ahead of any positive RNS so this is the most likely scenario that they are collecting shares to settle whatever they had to borrow.
