As usually happens with these things their intention will not have likely been to be in for the results but to sell the shares for a few percent equating to big profit in £ terms. As the SP has now somewhat recovered and is back at those levels those millions of shares that bought for the flip will be sold and will be a significant headwind for the SP, the more time progresses the more aggressive that selling for those whom the intention was not to be in for the resutls

Yes, Acacia had no interest in the company, they were in for the flip exactly like the financiers that stumped up the money back in Nov - they were in for the flip and now has come the time where they can exit for a small profit/breakeven

such silly ramping statements, '95% confident a RNS has been lodged', so cringe, comments like this are what cause people buying in on the back of them to lose money

Gekko - Yes, thats the point here, they will have not been able to exit for the past 4 months as the SP was sub 100 to low 100s, as it is now beginning to approach their placing price, all those millions of shares will be looking to exit

H4R - not necessarily, at the point they invested the trial results were more than half a year away, so the view was get in for the flip but now that its months to the news they will be accelerating their exit

Further to prove your point is invalid look at how the Woodford portfolio (which included SNG) was sold to Acacia Research last year, Acacia bought and then promptly began to sell down which is why the SP was stuck at 35P before the first resutls. Acacia wanted out for the results but still bought the portfolio to flip

Lorenzo - Financiers are not investors, mostly they look to get in, help company with short term funding arrangements and get out when the SP benefits from the security that brings to the business, a few percent here or there is sufficient for them, means big in terms of £ value because of size their investing and then they move on.

Usually they aim to do this flip within a few weeks but problem here was vacc news came out which hammered the price so all these placees have been stuck for the past 4 months so now will be even more eager to get out as they were never in for the long haul and dont want to take the risk of bad resutls.

When it comes to Pharma trials NOTHING is guaranteed, a sloid P2 result can still lead to a bad P3 result and for company like this it will decimate the SP when that happens - these financiers did not get to where they are by taking risks like that

Shpunken - Yes, pleacing happened a while ago but they've not been able to exit because they've ben underwater on their position.

There is heavy headwinds here both in terms of upcoming selling pressure and then time decay to Home results, P3 completion, P3 assessment.

If those placees dont get their breakeven they will begin to sell at a loss as investment guidelines will prevent them taking the risk on a adverse result. That will in turn add further pressure on the SP

HarChris - Yes, exactly, they have waited all these months, they are not going to sell at a loss when they know news driven AIM means the price will recover which it has now to the placing levels and they will be able to exit with their money and maybe a little more. But bottom line professional fund managers have strict criteria for investing and do not gamble, they will not want to risk adverse results so will take the profit or breakeven (better than loss) as soon as they can

I've been following SNG since March 2020. Just don't like this uber bullish, over egging of the investment proposition here by some contributors. There are risks and it will take time to complete and analyse data

Just means that SNG will be included in the range tested on patients as part of SNG P3 trial. They will still be subject to criteria SNG has set for enrolment on P3 so not necessarily going to be quicker. Anybody included in the trial will have to meet strict requirements and this reduces the pool size of potential participants which means potentially longer to recruit. Look how long it took to recruit the 100 patients in the P2 trial last year

There will be a likely be a many of participants from the 175P placing 4 months ago ready to bail as soon as their position goes into profit both for de-risking in line with internal fund management guidelines and because they may just have been in for the flip rather than the hold. Many millions of shares waiting to be sold.

News not due for another 2.5 months at least on the Home Trial and then need to wait for the main trial to complete and assess results there aswell
