sse should bounce back up as th sp is 7 years low ......
i am slightly worry why the previous ceo has left all of sudden and also new one did not communicate to investors much yet. i like the fact that chairman has bought more shares after recent drop to 11 p level... i also would like this company go to 20 p level...
Mr investment
i agree with you here although i have to say i am very surprised by how quite this board is and therefor how low interest this company brings, i am invested here for while with my average of 17 p, this is also my biggest position here as i think that there is loads of potential buyers (all homeowners in uk and europe) , the chairman has bought some shares after recent drop which gave me confidence to top up,what is your average ?
at the moment lse is showing 5 % down..... strange

fair enough bamps ... maybe that an error, by the way it must have been scary times for you to hold at 5.32 and then at 0.04 , and also it takes a balls of steel to buy big investment at 4p risking it all... i know we had major housing market then but was there another reason for such a drop?, looking back we now it was big overreaction....
it meant to be 2007....not 2017 sorry
hi guys sorry if i have given you wrong info but all i did is to typed" taylor wimpey share price "in google and little chart popped out , then i have extended chart in to max and on 20 /04/2017 price showed 705 gb, after that sp has drop in to 30 p???? sorry if this is wrong but i was not investing back in 2007 so i cant remember...

just been looking long term chart and it is scary to think tw sp in 2007 was £7 , so warren buffet long term hold would not work here... has anybody bought shares at this level?
pe has been taken from morningstar and i have calculated average past growth from last year( 23%) , my numbers are not that far from yours and both numbers confirm that we are attractively priced
been reading this debate and want to add couple more ratios , pe of 8.67 and peg of 0.37,which makes it perfect environment, i know we are all sitting on losses but for somebody who want to invest now tw seems like solid undervalued company with pile of cash on the side.
I remember Nigel predicted tw sp 260 in the coming months,we do have 60 but 2 is not in front of it but 1, not sure how long we will drop but house prices rose a bit in august so a bit of positive, Nigel it is not a dig and i hope you will see funny side but that another example of how unpredictable market can be. don t know how about you but i am not selling and will add if we go to 130 level. good luck all
guys, do we know when there is next trading update?
OWLS
it makes no sense for me to argue my point as i might be wrong, we all know this is stock market and everything can happen. I have made first investment at 191, few months ago as i was convinced that we bottomed . how wrong was I...as the sp kept falling i decided to average down (currently 176) , every time i doubt in TW i go back to recent half year report and read it again , and numbers are actually quite decent ,one thing i know for sure i will not sell at loss, i will just keep collecting divis
few years ago i have read snowball buffett biography . he was also doing same thing while buying dempster mill sanborn map or b hathaway he was buying the stock then sp kept falling and he was buying more.
we are all on the same boat and is to late to jump as the water is way to deep, so lets keep calm and hold
good luck all
i have noticed there is a lot of uncertentity and nervous behaviours. To calm everone i am going to have to copy my previous post about hamburgers
If you plan to eat hamburgers throughout your life and are not a cattle producer, should you wish for higher or lower prices for beef? Likewise, if you are going to buy a car from time to time but are not an auto manufacturer, should you prefer higher or lower car prices? These questions, of course, answer themselves.
But now for the final exam: If you expect to be a net saver during the next five years, should you hope for a higher or lower stock market during that period?
Many investors get this one wrong. Even though they are going to be net buyers of stocks for many years to come, they are elated when stock prices rise and depressed when they fall. In effect, they rejoice because prices have risen for the "hamburgers" they will soon be buying.
This reaction makes no sense. Only those who will be sellers of equities in the near future should be happy at seeing stocks rise. Prospective purchasers should much prefer sinking prices.
