Moljen; Yes you are right. The RNS is not shown. I saw it on a Hargreaves Lansdown (HL)site. I also noticed that sometimes the HL site does not show all the RNS `s where as I see them on this site. So I always check several sources. Of course the particular company web site is best but it takes time if you are looking at a multitude of companies.
Answer to my own question: Yes it has had a positive effect . So had not been factored in.
The spread does seem to be very high though ! I see this going as high as 174p this week.
Havegun: Should this not have a positive effect on the share price today or is it all been already factored in ?
Signing off now due to lack of responses and time constraints. Got to go and tend to my "happy plants" in the garden since my normal supplier is self isolating with his stash. Regarding the virus.... unfortunatly in the whole universe , "We are the virus" and that is why we were surrounded by space so we could not get out and infect other planets.. but even that did not work.
Happy thoughts everyone and if you are living with others don`t forget to hide all sharp kitchen knives.! (just a precautions of course.. better to be safe than sorry`s).
For those who are interested, "I`ll be back" at about 5 pm today.
Why does`nt anyone take me seriously here? I have made so many practical suggestions on this board in the past for us to make and loose money on TLW shares but I gets very little response. (except a few. mates) !
I even devised a "signal" system with assistance from another mate (Betrayed) where on giving the signal we would all buy or sell (like the professionals do) to make money. I tweeked the system to also give a "Secret Signal" but that did not work either. I don`t seem to have much luck these days and to top it all my car has now disapeard (stolen) from my drive..I think it was one of my neighbours. I hope it turn up soon since i need to fill her up again to increase oil demand.
Okay, since not much response to my suggestion, i am the first to start increasing the "Damand" for oil. Just started up old faithful and left engine running on the drive. Only problem is she has an overheating problem so also installed a free standing fan to blow air into the radiator so should be okay. Only other issue is that she smokes a bit when engine warms up and am worried it may disturb or annoy my neighbours (which I actually get along with.. until yesterday but that`s another story). So have piped the exhaust fumes into my garage under my house with the garage door closed which is right next to my office where i`m sitting now . But its getting a bit fumy in here but I have a mask on anyway so should be okay.. I thinks.
Please everyone do the same so we can increase demand and push up the oil price and hence TLW.
That`s what its all about. We cannot do much about supply since its not in our hands, But we can do something about demand as follows;
Basically we have all saved a considerable amount of money by staying at home and not driving our car`s here , there and everywhere at a whim or for work etc. We are also house bound as are our car`s. So why not just start up your car`s and leave them in the driveway running for several hours per day and then go and fill up again.
Surely if we all did this, the demand would once again increase as would the price of TLW and we would make money.
Of course this would increase carbon foot print again but we it would be balanced by the lack of air travel etc..
Anything wrong with my idea above ? Look forward to your comments as always.
Thanks for my birthday wishes last week especially "Candles, Spam & Beans" reminders.
As I said earlier today "my tears of misery have dried up and I await my tears of joy". It seems the main issue holding down the price of oil (& TLW) is "Consumption" and of course oversupply. Since we (PI`s) are unable to alter oversupply there are a few things we can do with regards to "Consumption" which i would like to air here during a quite time like now.
(Thanks all for my birthday wishes last week especially memories of Candles, Spam & Beans).
Today my tears of misery dried up. I now await my tears of joy to begin.
its amazing how the accumilation of wealth makes us happy !
On another note: thanks to all for the my birthday wishes last week under the "title Its my birthday" especially the "Candles, Spam & Beans" reminder.
We are all biased towards our own views and in these very difficult times enormous tension has built up in many spheres including on this board. Yes, we all want to make Money and get a bigger, better return on our investments no matter what the size of that investment . I`m afraid, hat is human nature. But please do not let it get to you, especially on this chat board, take it lightly. There are many of you who have contributed detailed information over the past year ( I exclude myself) or added a bit of humour and we all commend you. Please do not stop. What i do ask is that we ALL try to refrain from insulting each other here since after all its only a message board. So I have a solution as follows:
Today happens to be my birthday, so stop typing for an hour, go to your wash basin and wash your hands while singing a happy birthday to me and whilst doing so, imagine washing away all negativity you feel about anyone on this board and imagine that person could be the one saving your life at sea, hospital , fire or car accident. Lets start over again on a pleasant note. That is my hope. Please.
Thank you everybody: Jaffjoon
Agree wholeheartedly Zorro. The main problem is population. Need to reduce globally by approx. 300 million in Far east,
450 million Africa and 280 million in the America`s. Nature seems to think so too. I know there will be loved ones lost and perhaps mostly those who have lived a good 50 to 60 years and our hearts and thoughts are with them (as every unconnected person seems to be saying these days !) but hey.. man`s life expectancy was never supposed to be longer than
45 anyway.
