The technique harvests only foetal cells, with no contamination from mother's, and should therefore be definitive rather than the probabilistic diagnosis offered by cell-free (ie NIPT) methods. Those involved are saying at least two years away (so make that at least 4?). I suspect it is going to be more labour intensive, more expensive, but may be used (instead of invasive methods) to clear up false positives. Of course, it may also happen that the cell-free methods advance so quickly, as they already are, that whole-cell methods may never show any substantial advantage.

Well, it's very early days for this, and the market atm is not very kind to blue-sky research but, yes, the potential is massive with RENE seemingly opening up a whole new field of oncology. Will the market get it yet, except for a brief spike, experience says unfortunately not.

The trades this week IMO look like someone's accumulating. And I certainly don't believe the buy/sell indications on this stock - pretty well every time I've bought it's been shown as a sell. So, yes, I suspect we are in for a bit of a rise but for how much I have no idea!
