Thanks Spikeyj.
I don't normally look at RNS news for my investment trusts, but now I will.
Like you, I am a long term holder and at it's current NAV at a discount of 20% plus, I won't be selling anytime now.
Thanks Spikeyj. I do not normally look at RNS's for my IT stocks, but perhaps I will now.
At the current 20%+ discount I am not going to sell any yet. It has been a good long term investment.
Thanks.
Is that China or Vietnam itself?
What is wrong here? All this stock seems to do is fall when it should be shooting ahead It’s in the right industry at the right time and the S/P should be far higher.
Is there a problem I am not aware of here?
Grateful for feedback.
Nice little contract award from Japan today, but still SP turns negative. Just picked up a few at 51.7 pence but shown as sale and I suspect this applies t several other "sales" this morning too..
The liquidation of Tufnell a couple of days ago must be good news for Win. T was a major road haulier who have now made all their drivers redundant. Win can mop up their contracts and their drivers.
Lucky them.
Just bought into this fund. Highly concentrated group of top class companies which should do well, especially when bought at a discount. As Train himself says on Citywire , he is also disappointed in the performance. This is because even the big British companies are not well thought of at the mo and are not purchased by overseas buyers, because of our weakening economy. Neither are they purchased by pension companies who prefer the safety of gilts and bonds to shares. But I believe that this will change given the low SP of most of these UK companies viz a viz their US and continental equivalents.
Anyone any idea why this fund has fallen so much since Feb? I'm still well up since I have held for last three years. but am now asking should I sell.
I just do not understand why this company has such a painfully PE. It regularly serves up great profits but SP hardly moves. T he fear must be that countries will clamp down on its betting but this has not happened. Have been invested in this for four years and made great profits, but the SP should be twice what it is now.
It's the net debt at $117,000 that is the problem. That's a lot of dept compared to the profits and these days heavy debt is a bigger risk than it was and must be paid for.
What about the brothers Pomerantz and Burchardt who between them hold 18%.
Are they not independent directors?
Thanks Stuart. That was very helpful and I thoroughly agree with your analysis.
Hargreaves L inform me that the offer is open until 4th May so presumably no action need be taken before that date.
My computer does not recognize that website ref and it does not appear on Kape news page.
Can anyone tell me what it says?
Do we sell now or is there a possibiiity of a higher offer?
Neither can I. What does it say. It is not on their investor website?
As usual with this share - a pathetic response from the market and not sure it will climb much higher in the next few days. Might even fall and just because it is a smallcap. Why don't the large share holders step in to give it a boost.
The winner was Sodexo, a French outsourcer, according to the Daily Telegraph this am.
Great results from CTO this morning, putting the company on a PE of 7.4%. Dirt cheap
Fill your boots.
I'm in the same position as you. Only bought a month ago and not even making a profit yet. But as Unikind own 64% of the company anyway it's there's for the asking. Directors own a paltry 0.385 % so they are powerless too.
