Just getting a feel for where people are at, ignore if it's too personal for some.
What is your current average?
I was on spread just for the sake of Covid plays before the Manic Monday and got serious after seeing its potential and bought some shares.
Since then, factoring in various buys and sells on shares account, I was first in at an average of 240, then at 220, then at 170, then 90, and then have now averaged back to 129.
I am now purely in for the science. I have continuously researched and this could be a game changer for the future generations. Some great research in this BB, filter out the noise, and you remain with some solid research done for you as well!
I lost a lot on spreads (rightly deserved - for being so foolish to do spreads on such a volatile stock) on the vaccine announcement day. It wiped my spreads account clean.
But I still have gathered some from my monthly revenue and continually put in and now at an average of 129 on my shares. Despite the spreads wipe out, despite the standard advice of investing, I still have gone 'all in' on this one. Just because I have researched and convinced of the simplicity of this science, my risk appetite for this one seems really high.
This is not a financial advice, and I am not qualified to give one out. But IMHO this is one in a million share that checks the right boxes for me.
While many drugs discovery now are trying to save lives, the possibility of this one going to save many many lives, and improve quality of life for those who are suffering, is really high. For that main reason, I have put all my money behind this science and the scientists who are working hard day and night to bring this drug to the market.
Time will tell if I am fool to deviate from standards of investing, or my conviction of science and the efforts to save many lives will do just that, and also fill my pockets!
So, what is your average?
https://ibb.co/GnS2x0D - Literally Ready to Blow any-day now.
Has been consolidating nicely at a 140p support and then the inevitable upward breakout towards 200p may happen early next week.
Clearly oversold so far on MACD.
RSI looking good.
Charts looking good.
But most importantly fundamentals are absolutely solid so far. Fingers crossed. DYOR. GLA.

Interims and fuller Phase II data analysis
Synairgen reported interim results to 30 June in which the adjusted net loss was £3.9m with period-end cash of £10.9m. A
fuller analysis and disclosure of the Phase II trial of inhaled interferon (SNG001) in hospitalised COVID-19 patients
confirms the earlier optimism we had at the time of its first headline disclosure in July. The announcement that Clinigen is
to launch a Managed Access Program (MAP) in the UK and Europe for SNG001 is a significant step enabling treatment of
hospitalised COVID-19 patients under certain circumstances ahead of regulatory approval. With plans to scale
manufacturing to c.100,000 treatment courses per month in 2021, Synairgen is clear in its ambitions. Based on pricing
points for Rebif and Avonex and Gilead’s remdesivir, future supplies suggest significant potential revenues in 2021. We
leave forecasts unchanged for the time being until we have greater visibility over the uptake of the MAP as well as the
regulatory path. We reiterate our price target of 360p.

" it looks like this virus has one big trick and that big trick is to avoid the initial innate immune response for a significant period of time and in particular avoid an early type interference so it could be that the first line of defence is really completely off in these patients but the good news is we know that that first line of defence should be interferons so it could be that if we are early enough we could help them so we can basically find a detour around the defective pathway and just add interference early on we think timing may be very essential because it's only in the very early phase to really battle the virus particles itself to defend against the virus we think if we manage to get them into our university medical centre early enough that we can treat them with interferons "

‘ It should guide diagnosis and treatment, since patients arriving at hospital and testing positive for auto-antibodies could undergo plasma exchange to remove those antibodies from their blood – potentially keeping them out of intensive care. Since the auto-antibodies spare one particular form of interferon – the beta form – these patients might also benefit from the experimental treatment inhaled interferon beta. ‘
Interferon Beta is the only effective interferons that work in this case !!!!!!!

More scientists are beginning to explore ' direct to lung ' delivery whereas SNG001 is already ahead of the rest. Gives SNG001 the edge, patented, millions of doses in production pipeline since April 2020, to be made available well advance of winter.

The only 2 treatments that Matt H is explicitly throwing his weight behind is Dexamethosone and SNG001. He also mentions that - WE ARE SUPPORTING A FURTHER LARGE SCALE TRIAL.
" Another long-term solution to eliminating this virus and its negative effects is through developing effective treatments, and it was British scientists, backed by UK Government funding, who led the first robust clinical trial to find a treatment that was proved to reduce the risk of dying from Covid: dexamethasone. We now have preliminary results from a clinical trial of another treatment known as SNG001, which was created by the Southampton-based biotech firm Synairgen. Initial findings based on a small cohort suggest that SNG001 may substantially reduce the chance of someone developing severe disease, and it could cut hospital admission time by a third. The data still need to be peer reviewed, and we are supporting a further large-scale trial, but the preliminary results are a positive sign. "
" To support this, I have agreed with the Chancellor of the Exchequer the funding necessary to protect the NHS this winter too. We have already announced £30 billion for health and social care, and we will now provide a further £3 billion on top of the £1.5 billion capital funding announced a fortnight ago "
Government support from this allotted (3B +1.5B) funding on a further large scale funding along with EUA is the next step imho. It should happen this week or right after the below consultation next week after the 18th of Sep.
