Bronxville this is mainly vs URTI rather than Lower RTIs which is the COPD treatment from SNG.

Thanks Bermuda and WF for your comments.
WF agree that very important to maximise the opportunity to increase efficacy without compromising safety against this dreadful disease.
As I said I dont know enough about the differences between the 11 different versiinscto know how “ marginal “ the gains are.
Like others I am just really keen to get this science into the clinic ASAP to provide a great weapon to fight cancer.
Put it out there for discussion and thanks once again for response

Yes Bermuda and interesting point about the cost of injection vs electporation emphasised rather than the actual “ unpleasantness” aspect

WTP I had not realised they had developed 11 different versions and I am sure each one advanced the cause in a different way.
However on occasion I do wonder with maybe LD bring a perfectionist it may have been more efficient to put resources and effort into pushing ahead with a less than 100% version to achieve more progress rather than constantly seeking marginal gains.
Do not know all the intricacies of the science to make that call but good to discuss.

As you say Bermuda a great post.
Fantastic for someone like LD to admit as a cancer expert first and foremost she left it up to the infectious disease experts to develop the science.
Then she recognised she was an expert in Vax and perhaps she could make a valuable contribution.
Spoke to her infectious disease colleges and between them they pooled their expertise in a true spirit of cooperation.

Konar an interesting point and that type of detail will be very revealing moving forward.
Hopefully this raise will advance any decisions on UKRI funding on Covid 19 Vax.
Am sure you right about matched funding on certain UKRI projects in past and of course they can be repurposed for Covid.

Ray as Bermuda has said imo the strong rise is due to the funding being sorted at a decent price given where we have been and it is a big positive that they got this size of raise away with some very big backing from Redmile( whom I don't know about) and of course Vulpes.
Of course I would have liked to have seen BoD participation but that is a minor point compared to the overall very good news today imo.
