Total surprise and presumably they acquired a lot of these shares prior to AGM to ensure all motions were passed including any future dilution.
Why would they suddenly buy some many shares in such a short space of time and where did these shares come from as I am sure they did nit buy them all on market.
Are they buying on behalf of one client or several or for themselves.Also they had 10% without anybthrrsholds crossing being announced so looks to be an off market transaction to me.

Although I do think the likes of SR has posted some useful stuff and we should all consider alternative views even if perceived as negative the most important but to me is any discussion in the SN response from the likes of Oopsi is what I want to be able to see and discuss and not wade through pages of treacle in order to unearth the gems lol

Yes court case is a possible side show but I take it as a positive that they have found new counsel to fight on even if it is just to delay things further until arbitration is settled.
No good if SN is forced into conceding vital ground in court case which could materially effect moving forward whilst arbitration is rolling on imo

Completely agree but more important to me is the reasoning behind backing up what they say.
If anyone had called the CRL for the reasons given in advance then I would say fair play but to call it for entirely different reasons even though they have been proved correct and we could all have saved a lot of money is mainly down to luck.
Yes there may have been issues regarding the competence of the BOD and this has been widely demonstrated imo since the CRL but prior to the St Valentine day massacre there were few folk putting forward strong argument as to why this would fail.

Yes Jackdaw the trading on here since US listing has always been unexplained in many ways and I for one thought the willingness of big institutions to buy and hold would in the end play out as I thought the strange goings on was related to the AMP lender.
We can all agree about the limitations of Lumsden in understanding how these markets work and in not being upfront with these strange trades.
He always told me that he did not know why but with all his various advisors like Peel Hunt I was always wary of this position and just thought he did not want to implicate Richard Morgan and the AMP lender.
Yes we know SP called this right but I stress again no one called the reason for the CRL in advance so yes with hindsight we can implicate GL in possibly hiding internal concerns over the safety of Iclaprim but it is hiactions post CRL that I have the major issues with in terms of how he has handled himself since then.

Yes US govt pressure will help “ moderate” any issues and position of GG and help create the mediation background but at the end of the day if no agreement between the parties is possible there will be a ruling based on the merits of the case.

As one of the specific objectives was to assess effectiveness in diabetes patients who generally speaking will be overweight then I find it hard to believe paperboys point about loading the trial with underweight IVDUs to skew the results in one particular way.
You do not spend $40m on phase 3 trials knowing the FDA are likely to refuse to accept them on basis of protocol.
They accepted NDA and would just not have accepted it if the protocol was biased.
Also NTFB would have had to come clean about this at tine of CRL so yes think overloading with IVDUs May in hindsight have been a bad move the following up of potential DILI patients but refuse to believe it was deliberately skewed.

Interesting post and whilst agreeing that the trials did seem to include a large number of IVDUs a point which I specifically asked GL and he responded it was not an issue and in fact Bill O Riordan specifically raised the outbreak of hepatitis in Revive 2 I dont think you can extrapolate they are all heroine addicts.
You could argue that these individuals are more likely to have liver issues and hence more susceptible to DILI and of course the FDA agreed the trial protocol and as far as we know did nit raise any issues during the 3 years and accepted the NDA.
Where I question the use of IVDUs is in the issue of trial follow up as these folk will largely be transitional and difficult to follow up by their nature.
So yes point about IVDUs is well made but question some if your other assumptions.
If NTFB were made aware of these concerns but kept them quiet then that is a different matter
