Hi joetricky, with regard to Wressle, many investors, including myself are not O&G industry experts so when the company says that oil is flowing , how difficult would it be for them to qualify that statement by saying for example "full, consistent flow rates are normally established between 3 and 5 weeks" (or whatever the timescale would normally be). Instead the RNS leaves the timing open ended and subject to endless speculation by everyone and his auntie. Good communication, like good manners is not rocket science. imho edg and ujo should do better.

Hi tacuma, I am heavily invested in eog & ujo so I follow wressle very closely, DB is a very nice guy but I have learnt to trust the RNS's more than the interviews, especially when he has gone interview crazy in the weeks leading up to 2 placings when he said in those interviews there was definitely no need for placings, plus of course his timing estimates are always on the optimistic side. DB has given only 2 interviews since the placing in September (now 3) which has led to rampant speculation as to Wressle, West Newton etc, the interview is welcome but should imho be considered with caution.

words are cheap and DB's cup is always 90% full, I would prefer to see an RNS

hello mickybee, a lot of shareholders (including myself) were expecting a significant Wressle bounce but instead we got a drop! I suspect the sp is weak because investors now see better value in rbd with regard to WN and are moving money, I am certainly tempted.

Hi chrishutch, several weeks before the last placing DB clearly stated the company had plenty of money and there was no need for a placing...and then we all got shafted by...guess what...a placing. it's great that ujo has plenty of cash at the moment but db does have a credibility problem which is one of the reasons the sp is on the back foot imho

I'm very interested to see if they declare a special dividend and if so for how much, in the region of £1 to £1.50 perhaps?

lots of ujo chatter re wressle but eog has more immediate upside with wressle news than ujo imho

Luvva, in the last 3 years investing in O&G explorers, I have learnt that like decorating, everything takes much longer than expected and O&G tends to over promise and under deliver, however Wressle is just days away so expect a significant uptick in the sp followed by some serious profit taking

do remember that rbd & ujo own 16.665% directly, so the immediate cash return for rbd would be exactly the same as ujo, rbd's remaining beneficial interest is through rathlin which would decide how much cash is returned to shareholders (ie rbd) through a special dividend

personally I treat all his tweets with a fair amount of caution, he likes to give the impression that he tweets for the greater good, I'm not convinced. Having said that, EOG has a lot of short-term upside as wressle approaches, I'm a buyer at this level.

Hello Rob, as a ujo shareholder I would say most of us definitely have Wressle on the radar as a key moment for ujo, 200 barrels a day is a very significant payday for a company that has yet to make a profit and dont forget that ujo loaned £1m to egdon to make sure Wressle stays on track - edr/ujo/eog = win/win/win

I am very bullish re Jan trading update - I suspect we will £14-£16 after the results, plus Tokyo Olympics confirmed for this summer which could be very good for ncyt. at £14 that's a £1bn mcap which is not far fetched for a company generating so much cash, I also expect a special dividend of £1.50 to £2 (unless they have a serious acquisition in mind)

"Spot the mistake re placing." but is it a mistake??? As far as I know DB has not said how much he set out to raise, perhaps he did hope to raise £5m but accepted £7m as in his own words the placing was "substantially oversubscribed"
