Persi do you think rbd are considering buying part of Rathlin's 4/6 WN or is there little point considering they indirectly (part) own it anyway?

We need some good news to lift the sp but there doesn't appear to be anything near-term.

massive flaring is common across the world. the UK has very high safety standards and environmental controls, yet the JSO nimbies want us to stop producing which can only mean we have to continue importing from elsewhere. imo this is the big hole in their argument

This decision follows recent correspondence with the Planning Inspector where it became clear that he viewed the lateral borehole, which was included in the latest application, as new development which was outside of the original red line boundary of the 2014 planning consent and therefore which could not be properly considered as part of a Section 73 application as made. In this correspondence both Egdon and Lincolnshire County Council, as the minerals planning authority, expressed the position that the lateral borehole was valid under Section 73.

the last sentence is pertinent, LCC is the council that refused permission yet is ok with the lateral borehole...

· A new Competent Person's Report has been commissioned incorporating the new field interpretation and production performance data. This will consider all oil and gas bearing formations at Wressle.

The EDR takeover means UJOs 17m shares will be worth £765k, I would be happy for DB to take a modest punt on Europa (hopefully a much better prospect than UKOG (now sold) or Elephant Oil)

NK was always very unlikely to happen despite MA's "compelling" case. 7 years of can kicking with a request for ONE year to do what? build a 300 yards access road alongside a minor water-course, landscape the site, build the site, book equipment and then drill, all in 1 year? no chance. plus of course there is a very vocal and well organised anti NK campaign - no great loss imo

poo is down, Wressle production is down despite the C65s, Kedd hasn't produced since December, Fisk hasn't produced for over 18 months and is fully impaired, no planning applications in for drilling at Wressle or Broughton North...how is the portfolio growing?

Broughton North is also talked about by EOG in the last interview, it's about 1 mile from Wressle and owned by the same farmer so it seems he/she owns a lot of land. Hopefully the gas pipeline will be under his/her land, avoiding any extra permissions or expense.

I will keep an eye on the planning applications and post as soon as I find one for Wressle. I think drilling is months away due to the time it takes for an application to be processed and heard. Drilling in Q4 at the very best - more likely H1 2024 imo. Of course if p/p is refused and it has to go to appeal, permission could be 2 years away. In the meantime GTG is our best hope for increasing production unless Egdon installs the long promised gas-engine in H2.
