The last foot needs to drop here..............that will be our Head of tech IMHO. IMHO we need to hear acknowledgement that we dont have the competence or abilities to come up with a sellable product. Excuses about the oil business being conservative and Managers not wanting to risk careers on unproven tech isn't believable as a reason for our lack of any commercial success in view of the many many years expended. IMHO After this length of time we must conclude Its our product which is failing........time to take responsibility. Clearly everyone else is progressing nicely and hugely improving their drilling success rates ( Oil Cos exploration budgets falling against rising needs for exploration success !! ) So our technology is obsolescent and out dated. It just aint needed When this happened we will have a truly clean shell. I give it 4 mths........so hunker down. I would like to see us get another Tech guy in to look over what has been done and give an opinion on a way forward.......if there is one.........and maybe take us there. We shouldn't underestimate the complexity of the next steps. But another resignation ( or three ) is IMHO is the next step. The pain aint over until we come to terms with the failure of the past and really start afresh. AIMHO which I am entitled to

For the long holders.......... Seen it all before and its don't change. Some hols were bad some good ........the bad holes were a downer and the good holes were damp squibs. I guess a good hole will.............well wont change anything.

Respect Dud.........you are applying your self. Worthy to sit with the gnomes in Zurich. I tend to take a longer view and the aspiration to trade has long since left me. To many times I have been left standing on the dockside waving as the ship leaves without me and too many losses. The Coppock gave a very firm buy on gold stocks a few weeks back........a very rare event. It does sometimes signal early and sometimes falsely but of all indicators it is one of the more reliable though slightly lead footed We are obviously in a correction phase or market down phase. When it will end I guess someone might predict accurately but I don't know them. But it will end and whilst the dip continues I shall continue buying as and when I can or just feel like it. The big lift up to $2900oz had a 1/3 component which was just bounce due to central bankers holding it under water for 20 years. An equilibrium price will be found soon.........say $2100 ?? As this plays out for me its best I choose a share which has the ore reserve to adjust its head grade so it can remain profitable..........and that is certainly KGI.. They also have the Management which has the capacity to change strategy when conditions require.. Interesting news on Goldcorp.........they of course are a very unsophisticated miner. Can only do open cast. I guess 1.4 g/t over 100 metres might seem juicy to them ( 14,000 cmgms ) and it is good grade and cheep mining but we have stuff like that...........the difference is its underground and that takes real mining skill which we have and Goldcorp cant do. ( remember we had 1.6 million cmgms on one sample .....or there abouts ) So my play on KGI is about their having the ore reserve to lift or drop head grade to achieve profitability as gold price moves and have installed the Management skills to manage such adjustments without compromising the ore reserve in Medium to long term. ( picking eyes out of the mine not good ) GL duster

Final quarter will e a big indicator .....mile stone on costs. I am very keen on the first declaration on near surface ore reserves. as another game changer as this will have big implications for future mining costs. On current set up we hope for 750 to 800 /oz !! ????

Sorry didnt mean to alarm you. If they do delist in London it would be as a cost saving measure. It will only be a minor inconvenience for shareholders as we would have to do the form filling and register overseas assets...........boring !! The issue for KGI is raising of finance for future projects ( ie the new potential of a near surface mine ) and the cost of maintaining a presence in London...........Ogilvey is certainly able to make these kind of decisions and wont shy at the fences. With respect to buying and selling .........I use Barclays and from time to time my risky stuff needs me to post a buy or sell at best and then leave it. Usually I get good price but I take this to mean that the desk is unmanned ........ie trader gone for a pea or lunch or entertaining ( craft or not put your own thought here ). or off sick. Then next day all back to normal. I am at a small loss here.........I baled out lock stock and barrel between £10 and £12 some time ago and promised Myself to put the full amount back in when time was right.......hence my perssistant buying. It will be nice ( 4 me ) if I get another crack at 170p.....but I am doubtful to get things past the next quarter results as I expect it to get to 250p then and then begin a new up trend however shallow. Just my fantasizing. I guess I am what you call a gold bug since I have been playing with it since 1973 and I love the stuff. Made a good living digging it up and made some money over the years on gold mining stock. Pickings a bit thin now granted but on the long term cycle I have us equivalent to 1965 to 1970..........so I see a long term run up to play to here. It will be tedious and frustrating but I expect to just buy dribs and drabs on the low prices for a while now.

There is a marked difference at the new VIY. I see a very disciplined approach and a willingness to communicate on the real progress. Its easy to think the resignation of Dean and the completion of the setting up of the new VEC as being small beer and inconsequential but they are essential steps on the road to creating a clean and focused operation. Anyone we do a deal with will look favourable on a tidy company set up. Also our current MD wouldnt have had his success and staying power with a scatty chaotic modus operandi. So we see the steady purposeful progress worthy of the Napoleonic Pretorian guard.........one steady unstoppable foot in front of the last to an eternal drum beat. So something '' IS '' different !! Your point about H&S........agree It could go on for a while but I believe it is safe to say the down trend must surely be broken. My play at the moment is we will get substantial up movement when the next quarter production is declared. It wont be to generous though. I carry the belief that the market doesnt recognize success until 3 qts are in the bag. Still buying duster

Kirkland are drawing their costs down .........I can imagine its to do with that. I am bracing myself for the possibility they might delist from London but for now I hope we are safe as there is quite a following in London

PCI is run for the benefit of Directors and their remuneration and their providing jobs for Friends and Family and their fraternity. There is no other explanation for their going in with Melrose which has seen us sink as we drill and take risks and produce oil in very risky parts of the world without apparent benefit. (sp divi etc ) I am presently of the impression that we have a legal tangle with someone who is claiming a huge slice of PCI and that this is a lot more serious than we are presently led to believe. I cannot remember any Company info release describing it with any clarity such that I am able to understand. Any other posters may be able to give some solid info on this. Were I to attend an AGM it would be a Q from me . So should you invest. ? I am very very sure there is much much better for you to busy yourself with and risk your cash on.........say try........ '' Pig In A Poke '' in the 14.20 tomorrow at Haydock or '' Stiff Legs '' running in the 14.00 at Cheltenham tomorrow. Better chance of profit on both than on PCI

Real sense of arrival. I am really curious about the near surface ore 5 oze/tonne at a pifuling 400ft. No rush to drill it which suggests they have full confidence in SMC for foreseeable future. Dramatic turn around in costs per ounce. Its been a real pleasure holding this share for the last 7/8 ? years. Kinross just didn't want the graft.......

As y'all know I understand only my fantasy theories when it comes to graphical representation. But how about this. We have been running a serious down trend line since about 20th Sept 2011 The down trend line is defined by the peaks which occurred on approx. 1) 20th Sept 2011 2) 07th Nov 2011 3) 25th Jan 2012 4) 11th Aug 2012 5) 17th Feb 2013 We have a well defined cup turning us up and since 17th Feb we seem to be wiggling over the trend line to give the cup a handle........well known graphical structure ??. We can continue with sideways movement of sp but I am betting the next quarter will show excellent product weight which will enable us to regain the 400p to 600p channel of 2011. So yes I am buying as and when cash in pocket.

I like your point...........they have always played a classy game here.. If you have inclination .......cast an eye over the gold production and let me know if you see a back log of gold coming thru and so for declaration at quarters end ??

........this is up on its hind legs .........forming a very strong up trend line. I am expecting 400p by end of May Any bets what will happen when they declare all that gold coming out of the mill they have held back on. Read they RNS releases .........I may be wrong but that is my interpretation. AIMHO and DYOR I am a little surprised they don't have two expo rigs drilling near surface ore........maybe soon. Thank you that's a very decent post. TH playing straight down the wicket. Very non committal about Italy........well it did for Northern. Fortunately we are not to dependant on it........let the silly Italians stew then sell it to them and show them a clean pair of heels........really they are so up themselves they can bear the thought of someone else making some money in Italy.
