Finally discovered to what extent the advent of fuel cells will effect the Pt market. Foe example ..... did you know (as Jimmy would say) There are some 6 different types pf fuel cells and most dont use Pt. The one that cars are using and will likely continue to use ......... uses a very small amount of Pt. ie 0.2 mg of Pt per square centimeter. Yip that will be less than a gram per Auto. Blimmy !! So with diesels on the rapid decline we dont have an emerging market to replace the one we are using. Incidently buses fuel cells have no Pt ........ their fuel cell electrode is Ni. You have to assume the big deep level miners with the big production and high costs are aware of this. Also in the reclaimation end of things we are small beer with our 5000 oz targets. The Pt industry is in for a real shake up but with our costs I think we will be a winner. hence LC focus on costs.

Not surprised they have taken their site down. When I opened up it seemed to be about another Co selling heavy duty electrical connectors and fittings. It was frankly turgid to the point I am not convinced I was on the right Multicom site. So I think they shut it cos it wasn't doing owt. The 2 - to 3 week period to get another site up and running probably reflects on the time they expect to take to decide on what to put on the site and how to construct it to show their stuff and those all important lay out issues. Probably just a couple of days at the end for the coding using Daddy. As alluded to by a poster here !! If I may comment on the possibility of a Major Miner getting involved with us. I don't have this in MY sights those others may choose to. I am just too familiar with the entrenched '' fanakalo ka lo izolo '' mentality of the mining industry. The career paths tend exclude major innovative changes to established plant flows. Maybe the occasional addition of a minor loop but a wholesale change to chemistry will trample too many accepted norms and vested interests. There is the possibility of a new project being given to some really talented graduate (a threat to the statuesque quo) to '' ensure '' his failure and so arrange his termination. If that back fires and ........... But realistically our best shot will be with new entrants looking for the inside track so they can steel a march on the entrenched and gain cost advantages to pay for their in-experience. That's why I am sold on Multicom !!! and very hopeful.

Fair comment Dude !! I do try not to take a lead or prescriptive tone and hope to leave the decisions with others. It works like this. When an U/G Manager moves into a new section he will usually find things have been run ragged so when he takes over production takes a dive. He will have 6mths grace to knock it into shape. Similarly with a M/Capt say 3mths grace and A shift Boss 1 mth grace Most will have techniques of putting by insurance policies such as filling up and keeping ore passed full so that when the grace period runs out they can open the tap and live of the fat as everything starts to run smoothly. Could this be CB frame of mind. Certainly running around underground watching the ore passed fill used to amuse me and fun to let folks know I was aware of what was going on.. If so then cheeky old CB might be about to pull a flanker on us !! I don't know but pas op IMHO DYOR This Mining is a tough business. or he is just past it. I am betting on the former. I don't want to debunk your contribution which is interesting (to me any way) But with the strong rise thru this week there was never a chance of a collapse up to close. Seems to me the Mms shut down at 16.30 and getting back to their desks found a load of '' buy at best '' orders on post it notes stuck to their executive toys ....... put there by a cheeky PA. So they executed at 9.1p and went home feeling good. I will bet a strong rise on Tuesday and even better if a jorno has dun a write up on Sunday. Supply gap predicted by analysts and producers to open a lot in next few years. Bushveldt and Anglo Pacific tipped as way to Vanadium. Typically we got missed out.!!!! That's JLP and AXM I do my best to run with the in crowd but they just ignore me V Driver 1 Chinese going to produce higher grade steel rebar by upping V content by 70% ish for home and expo market. Cost will be supported by lower Fe ore prices induced by lower consumption. Niobium is a Vanadium sunstitute. Is that Us ??? V Driver 2 Vanadium redox batteries or Energy Storage. All about collecting renewable energy during off peak production such as week end sun and night time wind and wave and storing it for peak consumption to eliminate the high capex of peak power and bring down energy or electric prices and of course have more efficient delivery to the growing EV usage. Chinese will build a 200MW mega battery which will take 4000 metric tons which is half present world production. So another red hot iron in AXM fire !! Credit ref IC. You can see it in the Library. I keep a copy in my ablution suite.

Someone put up a chart showing Cu supply in small deficit this year followed by ever increasing projected deficits in subsequent consecutive years going forward. Was that a BCM chart ?? Last I saw the pundits effort on Cu supply they were predicting a surplus this year and next year followed by a small deficit in 2020. This was suppose to express itself as falling Cu prices this year followed by stable lower Cu price in 2019 and a small increase in 2020. LOL Anyway in the real world these pundits have managed to drag themselves into ; they say we could be into some T/O action now. But it wont be good prices being offered cos the big miners are psychologically damage from their experience of the last Chinese inspired booom. Bless !! The suggestion is they will just sit back and cream it on rising prices. Either way producers with Cu likely to win me thinks.
