Developed and perfected the Arc Furnace process but as they brought it into production they defaulted on a debt so had to hand it over to an Asian Co who they had associated working with. A year later the Zn price took off. A factory was planned in Vietnam to access the dust fro scrap iron smelters which is lying around there. Its a very expensive process ...... power hungry and very corrosive to plant and equipment if I remember.

So the 9 year old boom in stock prices will continue IMHO for another 7 years at least and possibly longer as business thrives on tooling up and stocking up for EVs and then selling EVs ........... chased by China who are all very nice just now (I guess they want some fresh air soon) The market literally pays zero for potential. they only see cash and in our case FCF. So Dugbe and Cora are in for nix just now. I have previously expressed a thought that medium term I would not be surprised or flinch if Endeavour and us got together as this would then give prospect to self financing from group FCF to open Dugbe and Cora as was done on the Rand by Mining Houses in the 50s and 60s The combination of all the Endeavour Mines plus ourselves and our Dugbe and Cora would constitute a Mining Power House with big resources to build Mines. I believe it will happen....... eventually IMHO

cb I think your point is very pertinant. Rowe are defo a player here in the full sense and have been for years. They must be millons ahead I have seen them here as a big player since 4pish ....... I have never really gone with the T/O prospect. the local connections are to complicated with Councils involved and with the Universities involved both technically and in terms of the enterprise Co recently set up and recently used as trojan horse by the shorters to get this latest wedge under way. We are approaching the apex ......... could be bad if it oozes out on the horizontal but the calc is the apex is reached when production comes of the new machines. I luv to know the standing orders for our waffers expected off the new machines and which chip makers are standing in line. Long term there is possibly reason for confidence. Short term the resolution of the wedge is the story for this month. Nice post by the way ....... opened interest

Our problem is with personnel. We got rid of Jan and got Omnia. Now we have spent our Manica capital on regaining our position post Jan. How will we recover from Omnia. ^ lost months of production we can never get back. And still CB talks about Omnia wrt ard rock. CB needs a reality check on his recruitment techniques. The Bar in the local flee pit aint a good recruitment Agency.

The old Sandanista inspired dispensation has run its course. The country is experiencing the impact of a huge youthful new Guard. These young blades want power. They have non of the loyalties of the Sandanista old Guard. The entrenched middle classes with life investment in an ordered society have their work cut out in trying to persuade vigorous arrogant youth who cant perceive pain that democracy has value to the immediacy of direct action.

January Surprised to read you think you have background understanding of Africa. With respect it doesn't come thru in your postings. That said clearly when 3 lives are lost it is a horrible event particularly when life always teaches us tomorrow is another day. We got pulled up by the less than exciting annual report only to get a second slap from the 1 st qtr figures ...... or the other way round really. The poor annual report was ..... well ???? something we all knew about !! Dhurrr !! The poor 1st qtr report was all about rain stopped play and the realization OMNIA havnt a clue what to do and they have the wrong machinery. This doesn't bode well for their position on ard rock for June. Fact is it will be more of the same on the ard rock. Broken promises and no results and total failure. He needs to get Omnia off site. I suggest he gets ssome of those saavy duds down from Alaska ....... they clearly know how to work the machinery. I will not imagine we will see progress until Omnia are off site and are replaced by someone competent and able. I have posted this before.
