I think our focus will go to where the news is currently coming from.
IMHO the Omani development is about par for the course whilst Portugal is exceptional and fortuitous as (inbrackets) mentioned by an esteemed poster here.
Surprised by some of the comments here that we wont need a DFS. Whilst I don't actually disagree it will be very unusual to proceed with out good insight to the ore body sufficient to develop a mining plan of sorts. There are examples where mining has proceeded with out even a scoping study. However the completion of the EIA may well signal such an expected plan of action. The Omani Cu deposit is eye watering in its initial estimated economics such that with low initial capex the first two years can be expected to produce gushing FCF which could then seed and pay for up front much of the subsequent expo development and build.
You cant ignore that.
Nor can you ignore or be churlish wrt the national interest in doing this in a way which meets and support todays expectations and standards in Mining practice when considering environmental impact, social responsibility, safety and Health, economic performance, and water resource considerations etc etc..
So I say go Omani. For me its touch and go which ;; Oman or Portugal ;; will command our attention as things unfold.and progress.
