You would assume they would have alternative financing arranged for the bonds but the existing would need to be repaid in full on the takeover it will be in the terms, same problem with debs and many others which screwed them over.
Its why JB couldn’t afford to buy the company and only went for 29%

45p take over would cost :

475m x 45p = 213.75m
Plus bonds repaid in full = £234m
Plus £192m on the lending facility
Plus all Outstanding warrants / options / bonuses etc paid out in full at 45p Total guess say 10% of company share issue.

Plus due diligence and admin, low ball it at 10% of total cost.

~£660m plus admin costs
~ £725m total offer.

And For £725m they get £145m back as cash and Say ~£550m left on the loan book.

Not going to happen, Come back January if the company has Spent £50m buying back £100m on papers worth of loans and Paid back another £50m of the lending facility.
