hes just pocketed £20-25m from selling his 50%, he could buy back 100m shares at an average of 20p with this cash he will still easily own around 1/3rd of the company, then he has more votes than the significant holders, and take the 40-50% hit to his equity holding.

PI are just holding them for him while he sorts things out his end, and he will rebuy them from PI.

He wont need my vote, because chances are he will own my shares.

JB has cash to buy stock and can buy 5% and call the same vote at any time he wants in the future, and without needing to try bin off half the board at the same time he would probably have a better chance of getting a resolution or two passed.

You know there are 120m votes against JB from the starting line from the significant holders who voted against him two months ago? JB is still a little bit shy.
JB is the only one in a rush now he is at 10%, but was happy to drag it out before. im not in a rush and know the share price is going up as soon as he stops selling anyway.

c - what can he offer that the existing board simply couldn't take on board and implement on their own?

you dont know what either party is offering yet, so how can you base a vote on anything?

the 3m is part of JBs daily sell dealer, there was another trade for the remainder earlier in the day.

Its all about him getting out of the shareholder agreement which he needed <10% to do.
And hoping that the PI he sold to that have made money would back him in a vote.
Before when he had 60% he couldn't vote on matters he wanted to. Now he can vote however he wants, and buy what ever he wants.
