The bottom line is that you jumped straight in here to pump up the shares , pass them onto someone more gullible than yourselves and take the profit while laughing at the idiots who bought them from you. That is what you do, pump and dump. You aren,t interested in investing, just gambling. Only you didn't count on one of your own who had deeper pockets than you, was brighter than you (not difficult), is more cunning than you, to go and shaft you.

Why would the use of ISAs affect the share price? It is simply a sell and buy back. No effect whatsover on the volume of traded shares.

I topped up with some of the proceeds from the Wood Group takeover. I don't mind the price being low when I am buying. I am only interested in the price being high when I sell. In the meantime I am happy to take dividends.

Buy the dip? Really? This isn't a dip, it is a collapse. Most of the pumpers are losing between 30% and 50% of their gambling debt. Absutely none of them are in profit.

The two things I don't like about buy backs. The first, it is a gateway for the BoD to use your money in order to achieve their bonuses. If you are going to buy back then keep them in Treasury and issue them for SAYE / BAYE / other schemes. The second point is that, to me, buy backs mean that the BoD have run out of ideas and don't know what to do with the money.

I totally accept your point. Most of my investments are in REITs and that is where the rest of the money will go. Many of my investments are not for my use, just for long term accumulation of dividends to be used by my family after I am gone.
