The difference was that Royal Mail did not have to answer to shareholders. Any money made should have been reinvested back into the company, for the good of the company.

The year before he said a progressive dividend policy.
If 25p down to 15p is progressive, how low will it go with underpinning?

I cannot be bothered looking back through the 2018 RNS's, so please feel free to prove me wrong about the progressive dividend policy. This was made when it was upped from 23p, to 24p or 25p. I do however stand to be corrected.

UKPIL and GLS, 2 companies under the same umbrella. I may however have read that RNS wrong, but i will re-read it.
It would appear that you would want GLS to be sold off. So you can take your special dividend and then disappear.
Is that correct Fruitster?

Is this another desperate attempt by shareholders on this forum, to justify their ever dwindling investment?
GLS will not be sold at any time soon! Unless of course RMG is taken out completely.
There will more likely be a dividend cut by 30% to shore the company up, and keep the shareholders reasonably happy.

Didn't Mr Back state that he wanted a progressive dividend policy in 2018? Subsequently reduced by 40%. And didn't he also state that RMG may not make profits in the next FY?

I've been at Royal Mail for over 30 years and don't actually remember that many strikes. Certainly not the national ones anyway.
Can you detail how many national strikes there have been in the last 30 years at Royal Mail?
And also localised strikes, with days lost due to IA.

Without union involvement here you'd be on 8 quid an hour. Your pensions would be the very basic. And your overall t's & c's would forever be eroded. Not to mention the service that this company (or at least the blue collar workers) provide to the public.

Do you mean booking excess overtime? Not possible for some.
Do you mean running around like a headless chicken? Not advisable because you will be held to account by those standards.
Working through your breaks maybe? Legal requirement to take breaks.
Or do you mean working to your time? That should be the standard anyway.

It was used at Greenford MC on agency staff and they were paid for the work inside the building. It apparently saved hundreds of hours.
And regarding 6 into 5, apparently in the Swindon area. I'm not sure if they are compliant, but the CWU will/are getting involved.
This was shared with me but apparently from the London division.

I'm going to disagree with you there.
I think that Mr Back was intent on no IA before and during Xmas.
I posted on more than one occasion that IA would take place this year.
Mr Back IMO, will let us strike. Under the guise that it doesn't matter any more. To the public that is.
I have a feeling that the apathy towards our great service to the public, as well as the public themselves, will ultimately lead to him leaving RMG somewhat prematurely.

All in my opinion of course.
