The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
@ eatstocks.
I've no idea what you mean. A cooker????
Please explain, because i've clearly missed something.
@ Squirty.
How much diesel does BMN import?
I've only recently bought back into BMN, but cannot remember from the past what their spending was for diesel.
@ eatstocks.
"""It's also the signs of a failing country."""
If you believe that, then every country is failing. Higher costs for everything? It's called inflation and is not restricted to SA.
I would sooner have the product that BMN produce, sold at a higher price than lower. Vanadium price, is after all, what you may call volatile.
And as for the lower standard of living for BMN staff. Didn't their union negotiate a very good deal for 5 years? I stand to be corrected on this. Was it 6% per year? I'm not sure how long ago this was. So, not as badly off as many.
@ HalfManHalfGoat
""""you can’t rely to favourable fx movements to run a sustainable profitable business.""""
Nobody suggested this at all. marc001 merely pointed out a positve. If it was weaker, you'd be all over it
Regression to the mean: Where upside (positive) looks worse and downside (negative) looks better? How apt!
I had to delve into the posting history of the above mentioned poster. I didn't actually read any posts, but more on the companies he has posted on.

Three days before crimbo 2022, this man started being negative on BMN, and it's been relentless ever since.
For someone with the foresight on this AIM minnow (his words, not mine) i would have thought that shorting was the order of the day. Thereby making a fortune.
Obviously not the case.
I have a feeling that the posters on the CASP board just ignored him and that's why he left. Whereas the posters here, myself included, engage with him.
In short, i think he views the posters here as "his friends".
He has no money invested here, so why else would he post?
Just my thoughts.
@ JAdams5000.
""""Anyone thinking this is staying above 1p is having a laugh""""
You are obviously entitled to your opinion. But if you actually believe, this why don't you short BMN?
If i can pick these up for under a penny, i'll be ecstatic.
It's only a matter of time before it turns. IMO.
I was here in 2016, buying at 1.39p.
Maybe you should check out the historical vanadium price graphs.
@ Chipsndips.
The current share price is totally irrelevant at the moment, unless you need to raise money.
With SPR on board, having already handed over $8 million, i would suggest that the need to raise further cash is negated.
I agree with the persistent selling, but 270 million shares were admitted in August, and they will only last for a few months, if these are being sold.
I believe CC will turn this around in fairly short order.
Production at Vanchem is already up, and although the price of V is not ideal, it will turn. Eventually.
I bought more today and will buy again tomorrow, because I believe in the company.
@ The Money Shark.
Do you actually read what anyone posts? Maybe, if it suits your agenda. But my posts clearly don't.
FWIW. I've made thousands out of RM.
Listed in my history. Whereas you started buying at over 450p.
I'm not a desperate little saddo, talking up a share i know nothing about.
And now you're jumping on the TA bandwagon. The reason i don't post much, is because i'm too busy cleaning myself up after reading your words of wisdom. LOL.
If you think that my knowledge counts for nothing, that's your prerogative.
I know much more than you. LOL.
Look out for the inverted cup and handle!!!!! LOL.
My post @ 19.15. Read it again.
@ The Money Shark.
Not a problem. As an employee, and not a shareholder (YET), i thought you and the other holders here would like an opinion from a real worker. The analysts (PI - lol) perspective is different tom mine. But what do i know? I have actually listed some positives, or did you miss that bit? How strange that you only focus on the negative aspects of my posts. Parts that are extremly relevant to shareholder profitability.
I think i said a quid 20 (up from a quid). I haven't revised that as of yet, but rest assured i'll let you know if i do.

i) I think you'll find that the majority of employees actually agree with "tightening up" on sick leave. It's not a major concern for the majority, but until it kicks in, and it's meant to be October, then i wouldn't hold my breath. I've already heard from a white collar friend that this is not happening, yet. A positive if it should happen.
ii) Agency staff employed from Monday - Saturday have all gone in my area. Although still employed for Sundays. A colossal saving. Unfortunately, for the customer, and recipient, this will lead to a bigger failure than what we see now. Parcels as well as letters. A positive for RM financially, unless you are now waiting for an item to be delivered. Be it a parcel or letter. Not good for future business though. Negative.
iii) I'm still not sure how this is meant to be making "savings". But if RM & PI says it is, then it must be so. Seasonal variation isn't worth the paper it's written on. Pathetic. But that's just my opinion.
iv) I understand that any surplus staff after "restructuring in MC's" are to be offered delivery jobs in delivery offices. This may be for the proposed DPR's, although i cannot be certain. The DPR's have been shelved in my area at the moment. Apart from 2 offices where it's failing abysmally. Definitely a negative.
v) The majority of CSP's are down to the bare minimum. If they close down completely, you will have nobody to do all the extra work that id associated with these jobs. Unless the managers pick up the slack. But then that will mean they may have to work their time. Negative.
I see your infatuation with Simon continues. Each to their own. If his type floats your boat, good luck.
Just to end this sermon: In my area, i am led to believe that there will be no more DPR's for the foreseeable future. The very thing that RM want, cannot be implemented. But i do not know why.
Good luck with your dividends!
If someone has a differing opinion then, by default, it's okay to be obnoxious, abusive and condescending. It's nice to see that some things haven't changed.
What a sad, lonely and pathetic existence it is, when you have to be ""obnoxious, abusive and condescending"" just to garner a response. And thereby having some sort of social interaction.
A completely anonymous BB, where the term "keyboard warrior" applies, in every sense.
Shocking behaviour.
@ AimWolf.
I won't post DYOR, but why don't you, erm, do your own research.
SPR isn't a shortened version for spring, spruce, sprightly, sp-rick,sp-ratt, etc. If you don't know how to use google, why don't you send an email to investor relations. I'm sure they'll get back to a big shareholder like you.
In the meantime, how many shares are you dumping on the market? Oops! Selling. I don't want to get told off again.
@ broomtree.
100 grands worth???
Selling, dumping? It's all the same to me.
How many shares is AimWolf selling? I'm sure he/she can answer for themselves. But if you know the answer, feel free to speak on this posters behalf. As you already have done!!!!!
@ AimWolf
How many shares are you actually selling?
Your holding was once 100K, now 10K.
So, how many are you dumping on the market?
@ The Money Shark.
"""""No. Not in the slightest. The day to day running of the company is the job of seniors management. I’m only interested in the bottom line and the company reports."""""
Silly me. I thought that the majority of your posts in the past 18 months, were highlighting the laziness of the blue collar worker. And how we should "work harder". A strange mantra from someone who has never worked for RM, by his/her own admission. But this same person, who discredits everything i post, still believes everything that is posted from ex-employees.
And now, he/she condones VR for management (76K for the lowest) and re-employment for same people on 9 month contracts. Furthermore, RM apparently need more managers. WTF did they get rid of so many then. Not just in the last year, but for the three years previous?
Your a RM manager aren't you, The Money Shark? You have to be. No investor in this company can be happy with the sheer waste of money being thrown towards the white collar staff. It's impossible.
@ The Money Shark.
"""""It’s been explained why many times. It was to do with grounded flights. If there’s no work and it’s not affecting you, just crack on. Making a mountain out of a molehill springs to mind.""""
What???? No work? Finishing early?
""""You work the hours the managers have asked you to. If it goes over it’s the managers problem, not yours. All seems quite straight forward to me.""""
You're a shareholder (although i'm beginning to wonder). You should be concerned.
@ Oli G.
You're not far off the mark. End of day banter for me, although quite a few have just gone home. I'm not sure how this works with SISO though. I'm sure it flags as a failure if you scan in/out within 10 minutes of your actual time.
@ The Money Shark.
You are aware that RM managers threatened IA, aren't you? So, it was okay for them to threaten and get a deal?
And as for the real workers, it was 18 days over 3.5 months, not a year.
Your total disregard for anything disparaging towards management is shocking. If RM started at the top and worked their way down, getting rid of deadwood, and making sure everyone did what they were meant too, you may get back your losses. Unfortunately, i don't see this happening.
@ The Money Shark.
I'm not bitter, but more dumbfounded, because it makes no sense. Someone, somewhere, has come up with this idea. Okay. It may save 24 minutes per day in December. But that's about it. You, as a shareholder, should be thinking why?
What happens in Summer, when someone may have to go over?
@ The Money Shark.
""""I don’t work for Royal Mail so it doesn’t affect me in anyway.""""
But it does affect you. The share price? Dividends? The very things that you bought into IDS for, are now being stripped away from you, by the people you employ to run the company.
Do you know how much managers got in bonuses last month? Bonuses for what?
You berate the very people who try to keep this company on it's feet, the real workers, but laud the people who would appear to want to bring it to it's knees.
