Just done a bit of digging in my account beowulf - if you go into "Account Management/Fund & Withdraw" on the right side menu within your Direct Investments account and should have the option to add a debit card there!

I'm not sure mate, but I use the "Fund this Account" option on my home page within Lloyds Bank Direct investments and the funds show up as available to use almost instantly (as long as there are sufficient funds in the current account). I think I may have linked my current account debit card to the share dealing account when I opened it and this is how the transfer is facilitated?

I'm guessing you have your share dealing account set up as a "recipient" within your current account and initiate the transfer from there?

If you also have a Lloyds bank account the transfer is instant Beowulf!

CB - the losses have to be registered as such on your tax return either by your accountant or yourself if you self assess. You do not have to report losses straight away - you can claim up to 4 years after the end of the tax year that you disposed of the asset.
