You are quite right to vote, anyone who doesn’t vote can never complain about the outcome.

Hoops, he used to only sell crap and look where that got him, he is definitely going high end now all we have to do is find them.

AAOG would have loved to take 1m from ZEN but that was conditional to the license being transferred which could have taken for ever if at all. The 200,000 was sold as is, ie pay us the money and take the risk.....zenith took that option. Time will tell who got the best deal, however I think I know the answer.

When Align were trying to buy us out in December they were being backed by Oxford who would not disclose how much capital the would inject, I now know why.

Ms. Cope it seems was correct to have rejected them and I was wrong for very publicly criticizing her.

Perhaps the future of AAOG is more rosy that I previously thought.

Unfortunately our votes really don’t count as the company holds the voting rights to most of the larger institutional investors, we were all out voted when Aline wanted to take over the company over Christmas time. As shareholders we are of course entitled to vote but it won’t make a hoot of difference .

As I have no doubt the motion will be passed, I trust the money will be used to purchase something worthwhile and not just cover overheads and wages.

I always email my vote to my broker and they put my vote forward.

Unfortunately we can be of no assistance as we no longer have any business in the Congo, maybe ZEN could step in and help.

I believe we could have all been a little unkind to Ms. Cope. She inherited a dreadful state of affairs and seemed to take much of the blame which I now feel was unjust.
We didn’t know at the time but Congo had to go as it would have bleed us to death and finished us off. She found a buyer that not only gave us cash but also took on all its debt, a great move I now think.
If you look at her CV you may begin to feel that she could just be the right person in the right place.

I know that she is not one for replying to most emails and doesn’t drop RNS’s Willy nilly, but I don’t give a toss as long she can pull the rabbit out of the hat.

No I am not at the moment.

Apart from being stranded in the Congo, I had to go for a Covid test last week and luckily it came back negative but alas I now have gout not in one foot but both !

Overall strategy

With the sale of its only asset in May 2020, the Company is currently an AIM Rule 15 cash shell and is currently looking at opportunities for acquisitions that will establish a near term cash generating business in the natural resources sector.

The board will keep shareholders informed of its progress on a regular basis.

Will they keep us informed?????

I doubt that very much.

When the horse trading between AAOG and ZEN was going on there were various deals being offered. The last but one offer was 1 million paid in installments when the Licence was transferred by the Congo government, this was rejected. AC decided to pay £200,000 cash without securing the licence.

However we only have DS and JB’s word that the field is commercial send anyone who has been here for a while knows that their word is worth zilch.

This is Africa and a difficult place to do business at the best of times. AAOG made an utter mess of the whole saga and I would be safe to say that Congo was glad to see the back of us. The new Licence will go to an African country without a doubt and I now feel that Sarah Cope did a good deal to get £200,000 to get rid of the liability.

No we are not in a good position at present but oh boy if we held on to Congo with all its debt it would’ve far worse.

Petroleum 1, there is one sure fact we don’t Congo back, we took their £200,000 and I assume we are rid of it. I really don’t care who takes it over, good luck to them.
