Indeed Proquo. And yet a load of toxic people on here have dismissed it completely without understanding anything about it, or what it involves. Or its potential.

Overall I'm pleased with this RNS.

As regards the oil, they are not trying to bite off more than they can chew, and are focusing on cost reductions and a production increase at H1, as well as the potential to conduct workovers/well tests at Heron 2, Gazelle 1 and Gobi Bear 1. That's a process of consolidation, rather than over extending themselves.

And then we have the ongoing discussion with no less than 3 interested parties for a JV. A JV announced in a month or two would ignite the share price at a time of the year when it gets a boost anyway.

And then we have SRE, which the negs have consistently tried to dismiss on here ;

" Exclusive agreements are in place on four sizeable projects offering double digit rates of return which are already attracting interest from well-financed prospective partners. We are targeting the finalisation of PPAs on these projects which is the point at which commercial details of partnerships can be negotiated."

Most of the negs I have green boxed - the latest being ADW/MrsWOS. It's probably the same person.

However, it's nice to hear the demented bitterness in ' bamb's post. That's one I haven't green boxed yet.

No doubt the likes of ADW, MrsWOS were all poised ready to buy in on a raise....

Amidst all the moaning about the sales agreement, things are moving forward, as indicated by the sentence below. It's the Chinese they are dealing with, and as with anything to do with communism, their admin is sclerotic. PC is a state enterprise.

IMO people should be able to jump in with confidence now for the start of activity at the sites. We are heading into a time of year whereby the share price gets a decent lift, and a raise now doesn't seem to be an option that they are considering.

Sorry Doc - no raise, and no share consolidation either...LOL.

Sounds positive to me. The talks must be fairly advanced for him to use the word ' ongoing. '

Another risk to do with the ' complex geology ' is that the MMs can batter the share price if a drill doesn't initially match up to expectations - particularly if its close to the winter shut down. We saw that in November.

The rewards will be higher for going it alone, but so will the risks - particularly if we can't extract more from H1 and H2. I can't get that ' complex geology ' reference out of my head, as for me that's the greatest risk if going it alone.

Thornogson : a basic reason why a PC buy out or JV is preferable is because of the risk identified by the Progressive Report of the " complex geology " of Heron.

Complex geology plus limited drilling funding is not a particularly great combination - we don't know yet whether the H2 issue is to do with poor perforation or a geology issue.

Why else would they invest so much time trying to make genuine investors feel bad about what they have bought into, except to get a perverse enjoyment out of it ? I keep thinking about that guy who seemed to have a very large investment, and then sold up recently at about 1.25p having held for years - most likely largely because the trolls on here enjoyed preying negatively on his mental health, and no doubt gave him many sleepless nights. It's pretty wicked behaviour really, but I think that it probably gives a sick dopamine fix for the troll.

Margaritas ; I think that this 'Doc ' guy, plus all the other MATD stock bashers on here just get enjoyment out of making investors feel uncomfortable. It gives them a real kick.

So the way I see it right now is that we need to bear in mind a risk which the Progressive report identified and pointed out, which is the ' complex geology ' ( I think were the words used ) of the Heron field. We've already probably had a taste of this risk with the H2 result as it stands so far.

That's why I feel that it makes no sense for MATD to soldier on on its own with limited funds. We saw back in November how the share price gets battered if initial well results are not as good as had been hoped for. And any required remedial work ( if it is possible ) might take months to be carried out, depending on what the issue might be. I just don't feel that it's realistic for MATD to try and cope with all this given their limited financial resources.

So that's why I feel that the company needs to either sell Block 20 or go into a JV with PC in order to quickly roll out the development. PC have the financial muscle and expertise to know how best to develop the field, and also how best to cope with the complex geology of Heron.
