Does it help you to achieve this through spouting out every bit of negativity about the company that you can dream up ?

Very likely you will get your opportunity to exit before very long, so why not just sit patiently and wait for that outcome without trying to spite, and make feel bad, all the other shareholders who happen to own MATD shares ? What you are doing is totally illogical unless you have a hidden agenda.

Roxy ; oh for sure, the short termers will no doubt have exited with a decent profit. Microcaps have lots of traders buying and selling, as they thrive off the typical price action volatility of microcaps.

It's just not possible to borrow the actual shares though. With US microcaps for example, very few microcaps are available to borrow - it's just too risky for the banks behind the brokers.

What's really important is the sudden uptick in volume, as it's volume which moves microcaps.

Roxy ; just to be clear, I don't think that any shorting goes on, as my understanding is that no shares are available to borrow. That's common with microcaps, as the banks behind the brokers wont accept the risk of a massive short squeeze which makes a shorter lose a lot of money very quickly.

People can short via derivatives, such as CFDs or spread betting, however my understanding is that it doesn't impact on the underlying asset as derivatives are, well, derivatives of the real asset.

It's a bit like someone doing a race on a F1 simulator at the McLaren HQ in the UK whilst the real GP is going on somewhere else in the world on the same track. Whatever the outcome on the simulator, it will have no bearing on the outcome of the race.

I agree abzzba. Some might not understand how the price action works with microcaps though.

Growmorecash ; traditionally MATD has been quite a leaky ship I believe......Somebody knows.

Buys and sells pretty well equal - the MMs are playing around with the share price in the way that they can do with microcaps. They can't do that with very high volume mid or large cap stocks. That's why large caps hardly move from day to day.

Huge price volatility is the price we pay for ( relatively speaking ) extremely low volume micro caps.

Am just watching the price action on a City Index real time chart.

Hopefully a large bullish hammer candle will now form, which would indicate the MMs shaking out traders and PIs so as to grab more shares, as well as hitting any stops. Eventually demand floods back in and makes the candle finish well above its bottom tail.

Jimithebrush ; we have an AGM in a week's time- even if there is no RNS in the meantime, all will be revealed then surely ? And if PC are buying Heron or are going into a JV, then a delay in any RNS is making this more and more likely.

And these are microcaps - their share prices move around with dizzying speed - and especially with an early stage oiler microcap which is now emerging from the winter hiatus, and which will be announcing a huge amount of news before long. The days of the very low volume sclerotic activity of the share price during the winter months are over now.

There was one guy who I felt sorry for at the time, and I think he was genuine. He said what his ( very large holding was ) and what his average was, so I could roughly work out what his loss would have been when he sold at what now looks like the very bottom - around 1.25p. I guessed that it would have been a loss of about £50k. He mentioned blowing his kid's inheritance etc.

I guess he was totally stressed and eventually snapped, so that he capitulated after holding for several years. This was no doubt due entirely to the scaremongering campaign which has been waged for many months now by some very unpleasant people, who have seemed to delight in causing other people stress and anxiety - it's like they get a dopamine fix from acting like malicious trolls. Step forward Doc, Adw, Gusto, Stockmaiden, Espen etc and now latterly this ' Jonboost which will be another multi ID account. ' Frankly I feel that these people are plain evil - I hope that eventually they get what they deserve, as IMO behaving maliciously so as to cause harm eventually boomerangs back at a person big time.

Badly written comments such as ; " I want sp up just like you guys but I do not wash other's brain" don't exactly make you sound like a particularly well educated person.

This was altan5's comment in November last year ;

He sounds very similar to ' professional ' to me - it's very likely the same person. 'Professional ' too always talked about how he would buy on a raise, and insulted existing holders. And then after the last raise he vanished off the board.

Abbzba ; reading through a few of his previous posts, altan5's style of writing is quite similar to adw's. And like adw, many of his posts mainly tend to be on the theme of him speculating about a raise - as was the case with that guy ' professional ' who suddenly vanished after the last raise......

Altan5's account was set up on 13th June 2013, and all he has ever posted about is MATD. And his 41 posts since June 2013 have all been devoted to trashing MATD, Petrovis and investors in the company.

There's a lot of weird stuff goes on to do the MATD board on here.....

Doc must be one of the richest people we have ever come across. Seems he doesn't work like everybody else has to do, but instead just spends 7 days a week posting obsessive cynical nonsense about a company he isn't in the least interested in, and wants everyone else not to be interested in.

He should write a book about how to get rich from the stock market. LOL.

WOS ; if you haven't sold any of your just over 2m holding, then I'm wondering what you average might be by now.

Generally people who started accumulating say 4 or 5 years ago tend to have averages of between 3p to 5p. Some quite a bit higher if they bought on spikes during that period - the 7p spike in 2023 for example.

WOS ; it's good that you are stating how many shares you have bought in the tranches, and now what your total holding is. That wasn't mentioned in the past I believe.

As a matter of interest, have you ever sold any MATD shares over the last 5 years ?

And another hilarious comment by bamb about QBT in January this year ;

It is currently 0.8p....

Somehow I think that I might pass on paying any attention to his predictions about any company.....

So bamb posted on the QBT board on 21st January as follows ;

" Agree mercedes, would be surprised if SP wasn't 5p by end of week. Next week is going to be very interesting. you can understand why some are trying to keep the price down."

Well today the share price of QBT is - wait for it - 0.8p.

Seems that this board attracts bitter losers who just want to spite MATD shareholders.
