Abzzba ; re what you said about the comments being made about the pressure issues in mid November - the doom merchants on here don't have an ounce of humility to admit to themselves and to others that they lack technical knowledge. They are offering a commentary on something which fundamentally they have no knowledge or experience of.

They lack humility to the extent that their arrogance is breathtaking. Adw is probably the best example of this.

Wigster ; reading back through some of your posts, I can see that your issue is that you have some kind of beef with TBT. Well that's something between you and him, but your anger shines through in everything you post.

I haven't made any ridiculous claims about likely price targets. I have pointed out the times of the year when historically it tends to reach its peak, and that's it, though given that even during covid, with the borders shut, it went from 2.5p to 4.8p at the ' right time of the year' I don't think that abzzba's 5p by June is hardly an outrageous prediction....Hamm and WOS in the past I agree have tended to be massively over optimistic - but that was then and this is now.

Wigster ; the fact that he did two posts on this board statinghow large his holding was, and at what average price, plus that was now selling up, clearly shows that he had been reading what was on the board, which for many months had been flooded with the negative nonsense posted by the likes of Adw, Doc, SM, Espen, Gusto etc etc.

Are you telling me that the non stop talk about raises and even Doc going on about a consolidation had no bearing on his thinking ? I wish I could have persuaded him that the MATD share price is typically very seasonal and that soon we would be heading into the most positive time of the year. It made no sense to sell about a month ago.

Like that poor guy who recently sold a very large holding right at the bottom, losing maybe 50K thanks to the efforts of Adw, Doc, SM and Gusto etc.

Until recently I had a large PAPER LOSS on my Direct Line shares - about 50% down on them, due to the problems that the company had at the time. However, I held my nerve, a takeover from Aviva is happening, and I recently exited at a share price which was double what it hit during its low of last year. I got my money back, plus about 6 years worth of dividends.

Shares can go up ands down strongly in either direction - if you don't know this then you are clueless. There is such a thing as a recovery play. Most of these negs have never looked at a chart in their lives anyway.

Not sure who wrote that, as most of the usual suspects I green binned ages ago, however it's a really dumb and ignorant statement to make, given that since I first bought shares here back in late 2019 I have been underwater but also ( briefly ) in profit in each of those 5 years. A paper loss is a PAPER LOSS until you finally decide to hit the sell button and crystallise it. Doh....

Unnd ; the reason why the share price is rising is also due to the fact that work will be starting at the site very soon. As I have been saying for many months - the share price typically gets a big boost going into spring and early summer. Or the ' first few months of the year ' as I described it once, which caused derision from the likes of Doc, as he thought that ' the first few months of the year ' was up by the 16th January. LOL.

Thorno ; Hamm's current series of postings are indeed odd. If you look at ones that he used to write before he went AWOL for a period of time, they seemed not to be written by someone for whom English is their native language....Very strange.

Proquo ; I green boxed them all as well many weeks ago now. It can drive people slowly mad through interacting with the likes of Adw and Doc. And it's playing 100% into their hands, as well as whoever is behind them.

And it's quite possible that people may even be communicating with a bot !

Given that the likes of "Adw " and "Doc " were seemingly on here all weekend, and given that this Adw lunatic posted at midnight on Saturday, these articles are well worth reading. They relate to the US stock market, but I'm sure that a similar type of thing happens with LSE stocks as well ;

The reason why these adw and Doc characters only ever talk about raises is because that's what they are all about. That's very obvious.

I suspect that this ' Adw ' character was formerly ' professional ' who also talked about nothing but raises through multiple daily posts which went on for months prior to the June 2024 raise. Then when the raise happened last year he apparently suddenly vanished from the board, and was never heard from again. Except that he probably adopted a new username and re-emerged as this ' Adw ' character.

'Doc ' and 'Adw' talk about nothing but raises because that's 100 % what they are about. Except that this time I think they are going to be totally frustrated - and talking about it every day with multiple posts isn't going to make it more likely to happen. Also, they know full well that the share price goes up in spring and summer, which is why they are so desperate for a raise right now.

Thorno ; yes, I agree. Hopefully this year there may not be such big swings between the highs and lows of the year, as with a bit of luck there will not be the manic swings between hope and optimism vs disappointment and the bitter reality checks that we have endured for years. .

Wigster ; I've never super hyped this share. In fact I have pointed out many times that its price action ( like just about all O&G shares on AIM ) has a seasonal pattern. That may change of course if the fundamentals radically alter for the better.

Someone on ADVFN wrote a few months ago that he has bought in winter for the last 5 years when the trolls always screech about it going sub 1p. Then he sells in spring or summer. He said it has never failed. IMO he's been quite a smart guy - smarter than a few on here to be honest.

It makes me smile when people speculate about " what the share price will be like at the end of the year " not seemingly noticing that the share price is often weak right at the end of the year relative to its high of the year. The shut down clearly impacts on the share price, as it lasts for so long.

And yes, some of the predictions last year were embarrassing when a few on here made their predictions earlier in the year - with typically 15p on the local consent and 40p by the end of the year etc. However the fundamentals are radically different now from last year. I doubt though if many predicted that RR would be £8.00 today when it was 38p during covid.....recovery plays can recover very forcefully. Look at Direct Line just recently - I benefitted from that recovery.
