Where's that January Trading statement and operational update???

I can't believe one of the major shareholders will not ask the question, they have nothing to lose now.

I have half my portfolio in this, after buying my last tranche just. I want to see this through because the maths doesn't stack up any way you look at it. Taking into account the relatively depressed prices, which by the way are double what they were through most of 2021, paying some more tax yes, we still will still generate £200m+ cash this year. So assuming it's a NO, we are grossly undervalued. I am assuming a NO and change of board purely because they recommended getting into bed with a load of sharks, trashed the SP to zero growth over the last 12 months, given a derisory amount back to shareholders, turned down a very acceptable offer from Kistos and lack any vision for our future. In our position, we should be calling the shots, not our friends hiding behind umpteen holding companies with all of Tailwind's cash in them.

How much cash have we generated since 23rd September?

4 months on, lets say conservatively another £120m? Thats £600m+ Our market Cap is currently £680m. 88% !!!!

Shareholder(s) with at least 5% of the voting capital can require the directors to call a general meeting of the shareholders to consider a resolution overruling the decision. However, any aggrieved shareholder(s) should think carefully about their reasons for calling any such meeting.'

Effectively, a trade is given a "Buy" or "Sell" status depending upon which side of the mid point price of the Bid/Ask spread the trade lands on.

The sells are actually buys - just to confirm.

Getting silly now when you consider the Interim headlines:
Increased Sales Revenue 1H 2022: £353.5 million (1H 2021: £100.8 million)
• Operating cash flow 1H 2022: £312.0 million after adjustment for hedging security advances (1H 2021: £72.8 million)
• Cash plus hedging advances £418.7 million on 30-Jun-22, no borrowings, limited decommissioning liabilities

Fill in the year end figures - lets see who is closest:
Revenue: £720m
Operating cash flow: £400m
Cash plus hedging advances: £550m.

How low can she go!

The market has spoken. The only hope for this SP is for a 'NO' vote and the BOD to go.

Any one who allows their Market cap drop by £300m or 40% during the best trading year on record has to go. There are so many other investment opportunities that involve lower taxes, diversity and transition that the BOD should have considered, let alone the Kistos fiasco.

Completely agree Terry, Tailwind stakeholders have siphoned off over $100m, that's just in 2021 and god knows what sits in their subsidiary companies today. They have left the massive debt in place and basically doing a runner. This deal is over reliant on the questionable tax relief, dwindling NS assets and stinks of BOD self interest when you consider what the Kistos proposal offered. It completely ignores shareholder return and sinks our cash into paying debt, royalties and decommissioning and we don't even know what the the current Tailwind hedging arrangements are with Mercuria.
OK there's my rant again.

Wow! that's one hell of an after hours sale. Some big orders being filled tonight. Lets hope this kicks off something tomorrow.

Weird, there is massive support for this currently yet the price goes down?

The depressed SP in recent weeks might have a 'yes' vote already factored in i.e. this share isn't worth investing in and is going no where. I hope once a 'no' vote is established, we'll see some positive movement.

Bill, you are so way off the mark with this - I suggest you go somewhere else. Yes there are unwelcome shareholders and our shorty friends (I thought they would be well out by now) who have played a part in the surprising SP, yes, surprised they haven't paid off more debt but I think their cash has been tied up with their hedging positions and buyback. I do think now with more stability in the NG and Brent pricing it should free up more cash to bring the prospect of improving shareholder return which a year on is completely diabolical but I genuinely think this will sort itself out soon enough with a nice Divi and real overseas prospects kicking in. We've been with this agony for months, a few more won't harm anyone!
