Year on year Ocado Group PLC grew revenues 12.38% from 2.51bn to 2.83bn while net income improved from a loss of 455.50m to a smaller loss of 314.00m - that was last year.

So by my reckoning with a 10% increase in revenue, this gives us 3.11bn which takes us to breakeven, assuming they make the savings promised and a 12% increase in revenue takes us into na na land : )

Why have BlackRock have reduced their short holding dramatically?

Mind you they'll pay some Mickey Mouse Broker rating outfit to forecast doom and gloom. These guys will be trading profitably within 12 months.

I think peeps are seeing behind the negative rhetoric that's been funded and supplied by our shorty friends and we are actually seeing a viable tech stock half owned by one of the best retailers in the world!

Shorties paid Bernstein yesterday for that gloomy report so they could exit gracefully - short squeeze coming!

Over the last year:

+44% Technology Solutions revenue growth

£52m Group Adjusted EBITDA

+£356m Improvement in underlying cash flow

Looking at last years half year figures, it's not hard to show a significant improvement on a loss of £289m when you consider these items from last year:

Increase in depreciation and amortisation driven by increase in live CFCs and investment in OSP.

Increase in exceptional items; UK network capacity review

Revenue is well up also forecast to be over £2.8bn (£2.5bn)

Only a few days ago.......

"Ocado Chief Executive Officer Tim Steiner said: "Ocado is helping Aeon Next to provide a seamless online grocery experience to customers across Tokyo. We can't wait to bring this service to even more customers in the years to come."

Further CFC's are planned in order to expand Aeon's existing network, Ocado said. Ocado shares were up 5.7% to 346.78 pence each in London on Monday morning.

What's changed? Looking forward to the earnings figures tomorrow.

My guess is that apart from the world ending tomorrow, Bernstein have an arms length interest in shorting Ocado, desperate to make a turn before tomorrow's earnings figures. Remember this is the most heavily shorted stock so a lot of our shorty friends are set to loose here (hopefully)

Clearly an unnatural situation here where massively more stock is being bought than being sold yet the price goes down? Very strange.
