Cureboy I agree with you about Boyo. Black Rock by my reckoning should have nearly dumped their 2.5m newly acquired and expensive to keep, plus other costs shares. I am trying to work out how much the broker makes in fees + interest on this per day. As I said before if nothing else this stock is becoming quite predictable in that it nearly always moves within a 4/5% margin which is obviously enough for them to pay for their Porsches ;)

Interesting that the number of shares available for shorting has more than doubled in a week and the daily borrow rates remain nearly three times what they were 10 days ago.

Black Rock increased their position significantly to 1.88% just as the price dropped after the Sobey's news. How long will they remain open I wonder? Smell an insider rat here.

I reckon some of our shorty friends must be thinking out also, the price of borrowing this stock is silly at the moment and promising earnings figures coming out in a couple of weeks?

My guess is on July 16th when they report, this consistent growth in sales will produce a small net income. Net income last year was only -£40.15m which should not be hard to turn around with the savings they have made this year.

"Online supermarket Ocado remained Britain's fastest growing grocer with sales up 12.6% in the 12 weeks to June 15 year-on-year, ahead of discounter Lidl with growth of 8.0% and Marks & Spencer with growth of 7.1%."

I guess we let the shorters do their thing. With the cost of borrowing this stock at the moment they need to have movements of ~4% to make any gains - scary stuff!

Ocado keeps title as fastest growing grocer

Sticking with this morning's Kantar data...In the 12 weeks to 9 June, online supermarket Ocado was again the fastest growing supermarket. It won markets share along with Tesco and Sainsbury's. Discount retailer Lidl grew its market share to 8.1%, while rival Aldi has 10% of the market. Morrisons sales rose by 1.1%. giving a share of 8.7%, while Iceland’s sales rose 4.4%, giving it 2.4% of the market.

"Online non-food sales increased by 1.5% year on year in May, against an average decline of 3% in May 2023. This was above the 3-month and 12-month average declines of 1.8% and 2.6% respectively."
