@Trader258, genuine question - what makes you hold a view that they have dealt with the allegations fantastically ? I don’t say that from a point of sarcasm, I hold a genuinally opposite view and I am interested to understand others as a mix of views is helpful and provides balanced insight

My rationale is that I think they have handled it quite poorly thus far. An initial denial followed with a Qc investigation and a single RNs setting out the terms of reference. Apart from that we have faced a wall of silence from the BOD, no updates, no response etc to a continued media onslaught Which has seen consistent attacks on the SP. for a company which has insisted no wrong doing they have hardly come out fighting instead opting for a high risk strategy of results and report on the same day - the epitome of eggs in one basket.

Pp1 - absolutely, I’m fully aware of the different contributors etc - I am talking more from a consistency perspective, if one takes the view that motley is purely a platform for subject matter experts to write an opinion piece then that’s fine - personally I see little difference between that and a forum except perhaps the expertise. However given some of the dodgy backgrounds of some of the contributors I wouldn’t put much between them and some posters on here !! Reference your last point yes about new brands they move into, however I would suggest there are not that many niche brands That are still being worn by 16+ across two/three generations. There is no issue with a life span, it’s normal no reflection on the brand

They are so predictable.. my 5 year old could write more coherent articles than the motley fool. Literally every other week they write an article that contradicts the week before. They epitomise blowing with the wind!!! However I certainly won’t be Arguing with any positive press right now, long may it last!

Been some interesting posts this week, for me a point of interest has been around the use of social media and influencers. I think too much thought is given to this, it’s a great strategy and a key influencer but it’s not the basis of their business model.

For me the most encouraging part of the boo story is the diversification into other brands because the main issue with the current model is that with anything it has a life span. That life span is accelerated given the fickle market they operate in 16-24. To articulate that point if you look at next their demographic is fairly mixed as in 20-50 probably including Workwear, Which allows for more of a market share and 30/40/50 year olds are generally less concerned about where the next hot outfit is coming from.

Spicey will know far more than me given that retail is his background. It’s not a given either - topshop held the crown for at least twenty plus years around the 16-24 demographic. So nasty girl or PLT I’m sure could also capitalise for a number of years. But I see the acquisition of other brands as game changing alongside worldwide market growth!

I think the Sp has held quite well this week, if we can close at 3.20 tomorrow, then that leaves a further 9 trading days ahead of results. My original Prediction of £3.50 into results seems potentially viable. That being said we of course have 2 weekends left to contend with, for murdochs and his Merry men To launch one last attack !

308.50 now let’s see if we can hold onto It tomorrow without the usual Tuesday decline!

@wyndrum... I’m sure you are right it probably is but how many of those undervalued stocks actually disappear or go dormant or never move - answer far more than break through and explode! Not aimed at you genuinely, but it’s getting dull on this board the posters with the good ideas clubs who are so amazing and pick every winner and sell and buy at the perfect time and never get it wrong. It’s just bollo@&£ the majority of us here are just regular punters with a share we think and hope does well and use this board to post and bounce ideas and thoughts of each other not a board to announce how ****!!;g great all our decisions and choices are...

KK - it depends what your strategy is, I day traded it up to 2.80 when I had an average of 2.58 it blew up one day and I ended up having to buy back in, overall I made £4K LEss from if I had just sat back and done nothing. So it’s not as easy as people make out... if the wind is blowing in the right direction every day or you are a demon at reading charts maybe.. sadly neither worked for me ! I’m sitting tight for results now

@repyrr.. I don’t think £4 was an unreasonable assumption for people to make. I was in the 3.50-4 range as per my posts and had the sp continued in the trajectory of August 16th when the sp was 3.24, then £4 would of seemed entirely reasonable i would suggest. However the Continued media onslaught led my murdochs gang supported by the guardian ensured the sp was sufficiently surppresed to £2-90-3.10 trading range where it’s been held the last month. I wluld think anything over £3.30 into results would be great I’m certainly not expecting £4.00 and looking at most of the posts on This board neither are many others for all the reasons I’ve articulated above

It’s good to see that the new look aquistion story is getting some major traction on various news outlets and is registered as a ‘boo news’ on this site as well.
There is obvisouly some fairly major interest around it as an outcome.

Having just read it up close it’s also nice to see it’s a main story on their front page ! Not tucked away on page 7 in a corner.

Fingers crossed this will kickstart a nice upward trend over the next two weeks. However I’m sure any logic will dissipate and it will go down 10% tomorrow lol!

Being half serious, I just think the whole market is so rigged and bent on the AIM. Suppressed sp all last week even the both the ftse and Dow were up matched with some big fill orders and now this :-) oh well as long as it goes up I don’t care !!

@ PP1 - That is an excellent point well made... especially your last 2 lines.. sometimes the pursuit of success or financial gain does overshadow where one should be focusing ones time and effort.

I’d agree with most of your post but not all of it - there price of the share is not dictated solely by buying and selling or vica Versa. The price is also affected by
World markets / events
Market sentiment
PE of company
Performance of company
Financial results
Company related RNS/news

The reason I say this, is these factors may impact upon the SP over the next 2 weeks as much as sells and buys or buys and sells

From memory that’s because they went over their 10% holding which is their max for any one share

Does anyone know how many funds are currently invested ? I would think the boo investment team are working 24/7 to provide reassurance to them etc and if they haven’t left yet then it’s unlikely they will. Boo willl be sharing the outcome of the report with them this week 100% long before us mere mortal Pi’s get a whiff of it

I think madness is slowly starting to set in on this board.. waiting for news or results, it’s like an enforced period of solitary confinement it’s playing tricks on the Brain...

Of course no one has the exact answers but being I would suggest fairly rationale intelligent people one can summise the likely and unlikely outcomes.

Boo are not complicit... they can’t be.. that outcome is so outlandish it’s akin to Apple going bust next month. Problems in the supply Chain and lack of due Diligence is the most likely outcome and fairly easily fixed.

My original post was about why the SP was so sluggish at this stage. With 2.5 weeks or 12 trading days left what do we think it will do next week and the week after ?
