Sensible decision - sell out at 3.50 then, nice profit, move on put your money somewhere else then job done. If it goes up it goes up, if it goes down You’ve called it and you are nicely in profit. A lot of uncertainty for sure at the moment, comes down to your appetite and exposure to risk, ride the wave and maybe it goes 4.50 plus, might tank and end up at £2.70 if the market doesn’t act how one wants or expects. 3.50 seems a good cut out point for you as it’s middle of the road. Winners and losers as ever in this game...

Could be right mate... dropping as ever... but then who thought yesterday it would go to 335? It’s just an incredibly frustrating share that doesn’t follow like most others. Some of the fundamentals are off around sentiment but we know that already. Don’t give up yet the old girl still has some life in her

Good news for us, I've just read that the Chancellor has cancelled his Autumn Budget in October (Business section telegraph) that is good as there was an almost certain online sales tax due to be announced within that budget

@vin 78 - it wasn’t a RNS from Boo it was notification that Jupiter one of their main funds had reduced their holding to 10% which is their max of Any one share they hold, so it was a minuscule percentage reduction

So I didn’t see that coming, my gloomy mindset allowed me to wallow into the £3.20 results mindset as per my previous post.

It’s such a volatile share that for once it’s nice to be on the other side of that volatility once in a while felt a long time coming.

It peaked early as it always does, must be a bloke share lol.. but it did hit £3.35 or there about. As ever it struggled to hold it but it did break £3.20 which it’s had real problems doing so that’s a massive bonus.

What’s people’s thoughts on that rise this morning ? The broker update on its own seems quite ambitious to cause a rise like that. What’s people’s thoughts or predictions into the end of the week ? 4 days left to D Day

Let’s see if it holds onto any of this - no doubt it will close 0.05% up..

I think whats interesting in the last 2 weeks or so is the lack of volume. That’s normally been present in the build up to results. Its looking more and more like a sink or swim moment with results!!!! If it goes it’s really gonna go !!!

3.20 seems a real challenge for some reason, I don’t know why. I think we will be lucky to go into results around 3.20.... seems a long way off my estimate of 3.50-4.00 but the 3.20 barrier seems to be holding strong. I reckon results might take it up to 3.75 if we lucky or down to 2.70 who knows ? I’ve given up trying to predict this share.. so far we’ve all been wrong and it’s not played out how anyone has predicted on this board. Is what it is as they say ! Let’s hope it takes off sometime soon, but this rocket seems wedged at the moment

The best black jack players I have seen are the ones who enter with a target and don’t deviate of it - whilst the stockmarket is in my opinion a form of educated gambling! It never hurts to use the same philosophy if you have a financial goal that way you can use shares as a tangible measureable factor in your own specific financial planning etc

@lucas... profit is profit you’ve done what’s right for you and no one on this board has any right to say whether that was right or wrong so stand tall and stand by your decision. For what it’s worth I think you popped your cork a few days early. As I said yesterday Monday madness, I actually thought it would continue into today and bounce back we’d with a strong finish into Friday but it seems the market was one day ahead of me..

However remember the old mantra profit is profit !!! So be happy old chap enjoy your dough !

Superdry have been on their arse for years now, poor BOD infighting and constant restructures. Their marketing has all but disappeared. I think it’s a miracle they are even trading. Super dry, hollister, timberland all has been brands that remind me of a vert very quiet Westfield Shopping centre experience over the weekend !!!

@Chrishar - a word of caution from someone with a six figure holding in boo. Numbers alone have only even been half the story with this share, and moving forward whilst they will play a large part they won’t be the only part.

Long long long before the slavery wannabe expose the BoD struggled with credibility, funds were slow to invest as the BoD were basically seen as cowboys and amateurish, to be fair looking back the son was ahead of his time with understanding Social media and it’s power. However 3 years ago there was a perception that he was just a balling playboy spending dads dough! They rectified some of those issues by bringing in industry experts like the ex ceo of primark John Little.

The PE rating was also always an issue with people of financial influence thinking it was overvalued, with the growth we have seen that argument has weakened.

For what’s its worth I think there is loads of opportunity with the SP and it should hopefully Be a good 2 weeks fingers crossed. But whilst money talks and in most shares that would be enough it’s not enough in this one

Nice article but let’s be honest - tell me one thing in that article that us ‘normal folk’ haven’t already said on this board - Right down to the ‘if there was bad news it would of leaked already’. Sounds like my exact wording from a previous post.

My point is that if you get a warm feeling from reading this from a subject matter expert then fill your boots far be it from me to **** on your parade. But there is nothing in it we don’t already know; take some confidence from the decent posts on here taken from a myriad of professionals who’s background are in retail, internet traffic and social media. It’s all relative to individuals circumstances, what is your strategy or goal ?

Day trade - source of income / hobby
Short term hold - in and out around results, maybe buy that car or new kitchen or holiday
Medium term hold - reinvestment or purpose for sale
Long term hold - pension, kids uni fees blah blah

The most honest answer is there isn’t a right or wrong answer. Yes there are different strategies but it all depends on what your specific needs or requirements are. Indeed you could of bought 20k at 2.10 and sell out at £4,00 and be near enough 19.55k up and then the price goes to £5 or £6. However 19.5k is a great sum of money for average joe (and I include Myself in that makeup). Yes you might kick yourself if they went to £5 or £6 but you would kick yourself more If they went down to £3... however this is where the level of risk or exposure comes into play - if the amount invested doesn’t impact significantly then you can play the long game and wait for it to go back up and as PP1 says more often than not it does.

A word of caution with any share - blind faith is equally dangerous there have been many disappointed holders in boo at times got trapped by the declining SP and had to sit it out in my
Case once for about 6-9 months I think from memory, I got Level and sold and then hey presto it shot up a few months later.

So do whats right for your own personal financial situation - profit is profit whether it’s 1k or 100k and in this current climate that’s a win especially against 0.10 bank interest rates !!

so my 3.20 prayer was answered this week or there about give to take a penny! I think we have the possibility of a 30p rise into results with 7 days trading left from Monday or a 1-2% rise each day.

On good results and reporting I think if we went into it at 3.50 then a 25p-50p rise on results seems totally feasible. If you hold past results (depending upon your exposure) then its looking good into 4.50.

Thats not me plucking numbers out of thin air their is some logic to it!

I fully concur with what you’ve said - I have also been fairly vocal on this board that results are 20% of the SP driver in this instance, the report is what will dictate the other 80%. I could be epically wrong... but I’ve gone over and over it in my head - if you knew there was fundamental wrongdoing in your business or flawed systems I just can’t see why you would appoint an independent QC to do a review. You just wouldn’t... you would say you were doing a full internal review and would implement new systems as a priority. For the BOD to implement the Qc
Review says to me they don’t have skeletons - that’s not to say things won’t be Identified but it says to me that paying £3.50 or using sub standard contractors was not knowingly part of their business model

@trader @litte trader @Brocksford all spot on posts and I can see the logic/argument in all. It’s very hard for all of us commenting on minimal or only externally available info! Oh to be a fly on the wallIn the boardroom! Brocksford you make an interesting point, they do probably take a longer term view than some of us and they hold farMore info than we do! Fundamentally the Sp is still way under what it was and that plays well to us folk as it allows for retrace. If it was riding at an all time high much like American tech was (yes I’m fully aware it’s like talking about chalk and cheese) then it would be more susceptible to Correction. We have challenges ahead, autumn budget potential internet online sales tax, end of furlough high unemployment, American elections result on world markets, further co vid world impacts etc etc the list goes on. However remember what we are talking about - cheap disposable fashion, not airlines or cinemas ! Don’t start with cine.... so for those oldEnough on this board, ‘hopefully the future is bright with orange’ a little 90s marketing throwback for those of you not old enough to remember
