Was beginning to feel that we had been blown into becalmed backwaters for the dog days of summer, but The Return of Thelix, much like that first dove landing on the Ark, is a definite sign that land is nearby. A buy signal if ever there was.

All eyes may be on Portugal, but elsewhere, let's not forget that the Moz Mining Ministry is due to give its decision on the comprehensive body of work by Oct 2nd, effectively not much more than 9 weeks away. Hopefully the initial application will cover off any potential queries at the pass, avoiding any further stretch.

As for Oman, well, whatever may happen could happen whenever the authorities finally get to give the go ahead. There have been stirrings as exampled by Alara, which might have given some grounds for optimism. Until positive news lands, it is hardly worthwhile looking for any sort of update from the company as it strikes me as if they have precious little to say and perhaps feel that it is best to leave their teeth firmly and deeply embedded n their tongues. I look forward to being surprised.

Just speculation, but it might be that with the imminent expected arrival of a second tranche of shares due from the next instalment, and bearing in mind that some good profits have been made since May 2017, the previous owners are looking to keep their overall portfolio balanced and not heavily overweight in any one particular stock. May be the source of the the constant stream of shares. With a six month quarantine post issue of the new shares, perhaps this will dry up post update.

I know the old get out line that the past is not a guide to the future but we are not talking investment returns here, more the news cycle....

On past performance then we could perhaps expect something over the next week or so. First one was based on 40 drill hole, second on about 70, and now over 190 done. Sizzling Sausages, Batman.

Today's RNS certainly helps me to hear the sizzle and smell the cooking. It has moved very quickly from a chipolata, to a Cumberland Thin and is turning out to be the full grown Cumberland Sausage, big, juicy and full of herbs and spices. I'm fixating. Not sure if it's the heat or the phantom diet.

Been out late afternoon and just noticed a 750k buy at 9.5 made around 11am but not reported until...?
No wonder the sp was reasonably solid all day despite the repeated chunks being sold. Doesn't smack of retail market but then again, I know nothing.

I do hope that SAV board are looking at which 'trusted introductions' have looked to play their book at this point. It maybe that some that were scaled back in the recent fundraise are simply hoovering up to their target quantity, and it will be interesting to see if any disclosure lines are crossed in the coming weeks/months.

Meanwhile, when many are busy slurping on an ice lolly and squatting over the air conditioning, it's a goo dish time to quietly get on with business.

Funny how bigger ticket buyers pop up once the sp has dropped into the buy zone.

Licensing approval process continues to progress but is taking longer than initially anticipated, which has resulted in some time loss to the proposed production schedule; and
• Mining expected to commence in H1 2018.

This forward shunt had been expected and then finally admitted. We are now towards the end of July 2018 with effectively a 2month window at best if any sort of production can start this year (triggering a third of the LTIP). I am hoping that unlike Renaissance Day, an updated cut and paste RNS does not become an annual event as well, though it does seem to be establishing a certain continuity.

Some interesting background on this one on the ongoing development of the lithium market and the proposals by the LME to develop an index over the coming year or so. There is a small reference to the development in the gold market and in some respects that has goosed it for smaller miners. I almost hope it takes time to get off the ground.

Also some commentary of BMWs tie with CATL and suggestion that they should really look further look to secure physical supplies further upstream. Mmmmm.

Apparently they will be in London soon. I do wonder whether they may look SAV up. If the resource update comes in, it would surprise me if they didn't.

Was interested in the comments about how heavily oversubscribed the recent placing was. Might put a bit of buying pressure into the mix overl the coming months as there will be limited chance to get involved if the funds are available to take it through to mining.
No mention of any other involvement in Copper or Sands - a deliberate decision to not muddy the waters with non relevant info?
It was a cloudy and slightly cooler day in Northern Portugal today. Interesting to roam around the hills and imagine the dust.

I am not the Fount of Knowledge and cannot give you a definitive answer but the stated reason of 'volatility in commodity markets' doesn't really cut any mustard with me. I hadn't realised that markets had been any more volatile since they informed the market of the deal 3 days ago, or more specifically the lithium supply market.

And the real reason for pulling the fundraising is.......?

I get the feeling that some buys are sheltering behind an artificial screen of red.
I also get the feeling that the Barroso site is being scaled up for starters. Heaven knows where it will end up.
Much as I love Cornwall, in comparison to the potential of Portugal, they should just fold now, gracefully and look to export clotted cream, as the scale will be impossible to match, let alone the likely product (Can anyone name a suitable shipping port?)

There maybe some persistent selling but the counterparty is a buyer or buyers, lurking in the pond.
