Just been listening to this podcast. Fairly decent recap of current position and not full of D&G, despite current woes.

Bit brutal today on the SAV market and outside with the weather.

Meanwhile Mrs Merkel states the obvious hopefully she still can throw a bit of weight behind the cause. With all the car companies falling into the same line now, governmental health kicks and increasing consumer demand, the pressure continues to build. Even the Dutch McDonalds are set to install power points. It will tighten up.

Only a couple of weeks now for the Moz ML initial comments. Hopefully there is no truth in the rumour that Moz Mining Ministry had been on secondment with the Omani Mining Ministry but had deferred their plans to JV applications.

Chinese market in play currently but possibly not the natural end market longer term.
Personally, and maybe confirmation of my commercial naivety, I would be averse to being too closely involved or heavily reliant financially on one say concentrator or battery producer. This would still leave other options like an Anglo Pacific royalty stream, or maybe a commodities dealer eg a Glencore, or some sort of major industrial group looking to dabble, eg a Shell. No doubt all will be revealed in due course.

I know it's quite long, again, but the last one a couple of years ago was an inspirational preview of an EV world. This is a review of his predictions for the future, and a recalibrate based on on the actual position. Forget 2040/35/30. Well worth the hour

This research would seem to favour even more lithium, but hey, if there is only one 'best' solution, there will be lots of people who will not qualify for the title of academic.

Thought it closed flat on the day not up, even by a paltry 1.8%. Heaven knows, we could have been down had we not had the 'great' news. Maybe some people need a little longer to do wider research and nderstand the implications of the rns than 12hrs. Let's see how things pan out

Seems relatively low volume, given news. Good timing to co-incide with HK presentation. Might even think it was co-ordinated. The increase and more certain status of the resource may need some digesting and the lift in the current target to 35mt (top end) confirms the 'Finnish Extended Silence Syndrome' of over delivery and confounds the 'No News is Bad News' theory.

Mrs Mitty read a piece from the paper the other day pointing out that there were only 16 Fridays to Christmas. The immediate wave of despondency was quickly dispelled by the prospect of good news across the three projects that should drop beforehand.

If 'best' means that all other options by definition can only be somewhat inferior, how is it possible for academics to have different alternative views? Or does it mean that an academic can actually know and argue for an inferior option, in which case, do academics just happen to know everything, both right and wrong and it's a case of pot luck and hindsight as to which academic wins the day. As is painfully obvious by now, I am not an academic.

Can but hope that Government from the top down understand just this, and their advisers are making sure that they fully nderstand the implications of being where we are. His just needs to be grasped, fettled and got on with.

As a bit of a plug, they also posted their most recent podcast with an interesting discussion with Simon Moores et al from Benchmark. Generally these podcasts are time well spent though they may need to widen their own brief and expand their net. Appreciate that the market is dominated in few hands both in production and value terms, but the conversation can't be limited just to those players in Asia, SA and Australia. Bit surprised that the their recent trip to Europe seemed to miss any comment at all regards Europe's response to developments in the rest of the world. If it were an investment fund it would need to be called 'Global Lithium (excl Europe)'.

Seem to be hearing more chatter about carrots, incentives and encouragement for EV's to help make up people's minds. Getting into the season of Budget kite flying but I can see this one being promoted.

Relatively quiet day again today, steady in what has been a soft market generally and mining n particular. Does this mean folk are digesting the update and maybe reassessing the relative merits of possible producers.
