SAV have tweeted to say they are presenting at them EIT Raw Material Expert Forum today, lots of connections with the European Battery Alliance. Not many other miners there (one Finnish). Heart of the solution, whenever it comes?

It is now three weeks since Moz Mining Ministry were supposed to reply to the Mutamba mining applications. Originally submitted in Jan? 2018, we were the advised that the 6 month reply window in fact only started on April 2nd.

Either they have responded or they haven't. If they have responded, then there are either outstanding items (despite the purportedly all encompassing application) or there are not. Either way, three weeks after due date, one might expect some update on any progress. Thank goodness this is not a maternity ward - with another grandchild on the way, I must be suffering from subliminal osmosis to be talking in these terms.

It has been the stated game plan that SAV would look to get up and running, selling into the Eastern markets until processing and battery manufacturing gets going in Europe. Hopefully the Trump spanner will not upset timing.

BSMA You are right of course that the use of the word Govt is wrong, there is no Green Paper/White Paper and currently is not adopted Gov policy. It is however from the relevant Committee and perhaps reflects a view that 2040 was not overly ambitious which has been superseded by many countries since, with much earlier target dates.

I may well be wrong, but bringing them forward is an easy win for the Gov, right now. IT looks good for environment and health. They have already stated that they want the UK to be at the forefront of the new world EV order ( hard to justify with a lazy 2040 target). They have stated that austerity is over, so investment in the future to make the UK oh so dynamic is good. The car industry in general and Brexit issues feature heavily, and crucially they can set an earlier target that is suitably near and tangible that they may not have to pay for should the political landscape change.

KUdos without the bill. A politicians perfect formula. But this old cynic could very well be wrong.

Reports today that Gov looking to target the changeover to EVs by 2032 not 2040. That will concentrate the mind a bit on all elements. I suspect we shall see all manner of announcements in the Budget that will make life interesting.

It might well be that there are great reserves of lithium in the Andes, but there are always problems to solve. Wonder if these problems will tie things up for some years to come, delaying that much vaunted potential oversupply. Meanwhile, Europe continues to drive towards the electric future despite the German auto industry predicting gloom and despair. Isn't there to be a flagged event in Mid Nov....when EU reveals its plans?

Nice little article about a Dutch company setting up storage battery facility in China, with further plans to come. Doubt that they will be solely based in China.

European billions? Not too greedy, but should help somewhere along the line to facilitate any funding needs. All we need now is further resource, offtake, tie ups, PFS, DFS licence alterations, OK from locals, funding, final decision - not necessarily in that order.

Wonder how long it will take for Merkel to act on the strong message from the Bavarian election results and the increased green vote, to really push hard, if not harder on the EV and storage options. Lots of car producers in Bavaria, all seem to be Mixi rabbits/hares in the headlights currently trying to work out how to make a profit on the new over and above the losses on the legacy diesel and ICE.

Would be expecting some comment on Moz, if only out of courtesy, to acknowledge the current position following what had been detailed as a date of interest, October 2nd as the due date for the ML.
As for Oman, better left unsaid to help keep the BP down to within limits.

Just read this article that helps to put the phenomenal growth in the battery market and its future into perspective and how/why it could well cause supply problems. One comment that I quite liked was the advantage seen in longer term supply agreements between producers and manufacturers, as they build up reliable, same side of the table relationships.

Who knows whether this will be something to do with us, but if not, they will need to get their raw material from somewhere. Main thing is that it starts to put the EU position out there. The fact that this fits in within DAs timeframe for further announcements is incidental.

It seems a bit bizarre that this is getting such a kicking at present. There would seem to be plenty of very positive factors out there, and plenty directly in favour of SAV.

aside from all else, a first post has a much better ring to it than the more final sounding Last Post.

Not sure who it is by, but it's a song that the kids have been playing and it seemed to fit the current bill. Almost getting back into buying territory again.

Ultimately the plans from all the car manufacturers will be out, not just the designs of their first models but how they intend to secure their supplies. meanwhile it looks like a bit of a petulant standoff as Governments across Europe are detailing where they want the industry to be in the next 10 years and the industry is uncertain of its future profits and the changes being imposed. When they do show their hands, hopefully the same tune will be applicable for a completely different reason. I am expecting that.

'Leaky sieve' ? Come on, get real. Firstly, this was detailed by way of RNs months ago as part of the purchase agreement of MnB. Secondly, 20,000,000 shares would barely move the dial as approx 2.5% of total.

All that said, there are other topics for an rns that would make more interesting reading, and are certainly more eagerly anticipated.
