I think this was to be reviewed by UNECE when they met 19/21 October having called for and received replies to their specific queries by 16 Oct.
I believe costs were awarded against the complainant which would generally imply that APA had succeeded, though I haven’t seen to date any final statement.

It is therefore a couple of weeks since the estimated 100 working days plus extension period lapsed, so the DIA should be imminent. Since then we have had the revelation of the Galp refinery and the agreements between Spain and Portugal. COP26 is one helluva backdrop for the country and corporates to lay out their plans.

It still needs to happen of course.

If this report gains traction, then people invested there may well look towards the plain vanilla of SAV instead of the still to be proved DLE option.

I was looking at the numbers reported on ADVFN, which have now disappeared un fortunately, but their numbers certainly didn’t point that way. From memory there weren’t trades to the exact minute, but the levels achieved were much closer to the selling price at the time. I have no axe to grind and just look forward to much higher prices with much in the pipeline to deliver on expectations.

Well, might not be allocated directly (that is perhaps yet to be announced) but this is interesting confirmation that things would seem to be moving and what might become available should the EIA be given the green light (as would seem to be expected by the minister).

The original link up was the back end of last year and it was broken by the same outfit. The original agreement followed shortly afterwards early this year, so on the assumption this is accurate, this is excellent.

SAV maybe one of the belles of the European Lithium Ball, but is definitely keeping her dance card close to her chest. Still, lots strutting around but the music hasn’t struck up yet for any potential EU raw material producer.

They announced plans to take the mine underground a couple of days ago. It may (or may not) get over the current hurdle of permissions, but will increase capex and opex substantially and that causes its own issues. Whatever happens there can only reflect well on SAV assuming things progress as hoped.

MDB will extend itself but that is just a start. SAV have already said they are going to take part in the auctions that are due to be signed off to start later this year and have identified further targets over the border in Spain.

The current EIA will act as a blueprint for further areas and this will only be then subject to drilling and establishing resource (plus usual quality checks etc). Being a founding figure of the lithium development in Portugal, they should be well placed to pick up a number of the auction lots (the gov have already stated that the deepest pockets cannot assume an automatic success) so imagine a SAV with the potential to expand and grow by a factor of say 4 or 5, not 50mt but 200/250mt albeit in time over he coming few years.

The immediate EIA is but the short term carrot, not forgetting Moz.

EMH were also given the nod from the US, with Tesla commentator Ivan ‘discovering’ the ‘secret’ Eu Li supply source, and wider coverage from Klein/Hooper all pointing towards EMH (with suitable DYOR disclaimers).

At about or less than 1%, thinner than Marmite and it has been about 10% if not more. Not sure if that is an indication of imminent news, but it is certainly expected or an explanation from APA.

That is of course, quite aside from news on Moz, offtakes, financing, DFS etc etc.

I suspect sooner than that, but perhaps not Friday. Lots of EU / world pressure to start some sort of
Li industry in Europe and with Cop coming up, one might hope that it would land in time for Portugal toget a medal and posy for their efforts.

Mathematically I would agree.

DA had put a proviso that there may be a delay from APA, and if anything cropped up, they would answer promptly.. In the background there has been the ongoing appeal to the UN body by the Spanish? eco group claiming a procedural foul. The UN body asked both sides for responses to their queries by Friday 15th in readiness for review (and ruling?) early the following week. APA replied promptly and directly (certainly seemed to nail all disputed comments) and as yet I have not seen the other side’s replies.

It may be that APA will wait for the UN body to reply and have given their ruling. That might take them outside of the mandated period. Hopefully not, but be prepared and aware.
