Very confident about buying at these levels and have added more recently.
I gave my valuation range based on if someone made an offer now you would need an EGM and a 75% vote in favour so the only real issue is at what sort of price would 75% of SH sell.That is my judgement but obviously if it created an auction with interested parties and deep pockets it would go higher but equally if SCLP was distressed seller and yes I know unlikely it would not go as high.
The risk is if SCLP have to raise again to complete the Modi clinical trial and if it can only raise at a similar premium as to last one and the SP has not risen beforehand then it could well be less than 12p.
I take the 3 major infection points as being Grand Challenge /Combo readout and Modi p1 readout.
I am confident if Grand Challenge But no guarantees.
We are probably not as far apart as you may think in our thoughts here just take a different view of level of risk and maybe a bit more critical of the BOD in nit advancing the science quicker

no idea what scancells price is ... clearly its not 12p a share as they did not sell at 54p a share back in 2013

options exist at 33p approx so clearly 33p is not the sell price ... as that is the price the directors have to pay to access those shares

we need deals ... Scancell is just not geared up for phase 3 trials ...

if moditope does take off that means running at least 8 phase 3 trials plus the immunobody program that is only based on the current pipeline

so you could be looking at 14 phase 3 trials with costs approaching a $1b dollars requiring huge management etc

Scancell will do deals the collaboration resulting in commercialisation with BioNtech could be the start ... as that then confirms the moditope platform is a GO ...

For any product to compete against Scancell its must not only be very effective, it also must be safe, now affimed product appears safe. But that only part of the story

AFM13 is a TandAb recognizing CD30 and utilizing its second functionality binds with high affinity to NK-cells and activates them. CD30 is overexpressed on Reed Sternberg cells that are the hallmark of Hodgkin Lymphoma (HL). In addition, CD30 is also expressed on a variety of T-cell lymphomas, including cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) and anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL). Furthermore, some 25% of Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) patients carry the CD30 epitope. Overall, in North America, the EU and Japan, more than 50,000 patients are diagnosed annually with diseases in which malignant cells carry the CD30 epitope. Each year, between 6,000 t0 8,000 patients with these diseases relapse or become refractory to a series of standard treatments and require new therapeutic option.

Affimed has conducted a phase 1 dose escalation clinical trial in patients with relapsed / refractory HL. The clinical results have been presented to the medical community by Prof. Engert, the lead investigator for the study, at the Lugano International Meeting on Malignant Lymphoma in 2013. In sum, AFM13 has been found to be safe at the doses tested. Certain biomarkers indicated dose-dependent effects suggesting most active doses at or above 1.5 mg/kg. Anti-tumor activity was observed at all dose levels tested but was more pronounced at or above 1.5 mg/kg.

In this subgroup (N=13), 3 partial responses (≥50% tumor shrinkage) and 7 cases with stable disease were observed, resulting in an overall disease control rate of 77%. Of note, 6 of 7 patients that were refractory to brentuximab vedotin had a stabilization of their disease, an indication that this patient population may also benefit from AFM13 treatment. Based on these data a phase 2 study is being prepared with an optimized dosing regimen designed to demonstrate the full therapeutic potential of AFM13 in relapsed/refractory HL patients.

Unexpectedly, we have shown in cancer patients, 4/9 patients responded to vim 65-77 and 4/9 to
citrullinated vim 65-77but only two of these patients responded to both peptides. As with DNA
immunisation, mice immunised with citrullinated vim 415-433 peptide stimulated responses that were
specific to the modified epitopes whereas the wild type epitope failed to stimulate a response.
15 Furthermore, citrullinated vim 415-433 peptide stimulated a very strong IL-17 response. In contrast, in
cancer patients, 8/11 responded to the wild type epitope whereas only 5/11 responded to citrullinated
vim 415-433. This suggests that both the unmodified and the modified epitopes can stimulate T cell
responses in patients and that these T cells responses do not always cross react. This is also the first
demonstration that cancer patients can respond to citrullinated epitopes, which was previously thought
