Ah but here you forget, the flipside of immunotherapy is that if it goes wrong it goes wrong in a very bad way. You can't remove T-cells from a patient once you have given an immunotherapy.

Unlike a chemical drug where you can cease dosing the patient. Once you've harnessed nature there is limited ways of switching it back off if it goes wrong. Hence, why there are large amounts of research looking at methods to add fail safes and kill-switches in CAR-T therapies in case immunotherapies go rogue.
