The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have led privileged lives; but I cannot say I envy them. Stanley Baldwin (prime minister, 1923-29, and again 1935-37) remarked that "power without responsibility is the prerogative of the harlot." The royal family suffer from the opposite predicament; they have responsibility without power. But they are well-paid, and they live very comfortably, so I limit my sympathy to their occasions of bereavement, of which today is one.

I know nothing about football; but certainly agree with line 1 of para 4, "we're playing in front of an empty stadium at the moment." No-one seems very interested in GGP anymore; the number of trades has fallen, and the share price is stagnant, like a pond of stale water. One day this will change, but we don't know when; and I'm sorry to say that I do not believe Enrico's magical incantations will make much difference (however well-disposed towards him I may be).

Apologies, I fear I may have pushed the price up for you. I did three buys of £15k, and each time the price was moved slightly upwards. It's probably done by an algo, rather than a human being. It's inevitable with a small cap like this; but one day, we will not be a small cap.

A £30k buy was not possible; two lots of £15k were.

Yes, that double bottom at $1680 looks good to me. As judge Pickles once said, I've always liked a double bottom.

Fair point, everything depends on the fundamentals of the company (which in the case of GGP are excellent). Buying after a fall is a good idea; but only if one investigates the reasons for the fall.

This is too pessimistic a view of human nature. Most people are fundamentally decent, and tell the truth (I myself have a lamentable habit of boasting about my own failures, much like Dogberry in "Much Ado"). There is then a small minority who tell lies, in speech or in writing, but I cannot say I envy them whatever success these lies may bring.
