I note with interest that my buy order (66,635 at 15.49) shows up as a sell on this website. What this tells us, is that the buy and sell record is utterly unreliable; it's calculated by an algorithm, which is more stupid than any human being (well, almost any).

I have just bought another 66,635 at 0.1717, which brings my total holding to 764,083. I will continue to support the share price, if it falls further (which is entirely possible). The three things to remember are: (i) the assets are good, (ii) the CEO and chairman are good, (iii) the gold price is rising. It may be a long march, but victory will be ours.

I don't know enough about Webbs to comment on his or her particular motives. But it is clear that there is a lot of malice on some (though not all) of these billboards. And the sign is obvious; it's personal insults, which I have never done myself, and have no intention of doing in the future.

As St Tropez has said, gold has had a good week and is now at $1778. The double bottom at $1680 looks secure; and in my view the Fed is neither able nor willing to raise interest rates sufficiently to combat inflation. A rising gold price is not as important as good drilling results; but it will benefit the share price, and should cause Agnico and Newmont to hasten the exploration of Anza.

I'm with you on the importance of the gold price; there's no doubt that one of the reasons Q1 has been so difficult for us is the falling gold price. That double bottom at $1680 now looks fairly secure, and Q2 and Q3 are looking positive for gold. US inflation is likely to become more evident, and I don't believe the Fed is either able or willing to raise interest rates sufficiently to combat it.

There's no easy answer to this. It reminds me of a moment in a Kitco interview, when David Lin asks Pierre Lassonde, "If equities and gold diverge, do the gold mining shares follow the gold price or the other equities?" Lassonde answered, "they move with the other equities."

I know nothing about ECR, and can't comment on it (though I have switched some of my money from GGP to OMI, for exactly the reason that you mention). But I do want to say that I appreciated your posts on the GGP board, and share your unhappiness about the intolerance of dissent there. Stalin's purges are the first thing that come to mind; and the persecution of heretics by the inquisition, the second. One needs to think about what people would do, if they were not on a billboard, but acting with real political power.

And@19.23 to Sotolo. It's not really 50/50, because if a share has fallen substantially (while the fundamentals are unchanged), it will probably rise; and vice versa. Your second sentence, I entirely agree with. There's a bubble in US equities, but it's more likely to lead to a correction than a crash; we saw how the Fed stopped the slide last March. And the global economy is bouncing back from Covid.
