I had this company put to me and a few things that put me off. These are comparing it to HZM in random order....

1. Its Russian jurisdiction.
2. Its reliance on diesel generators for the mine
3. Its requirement for a 270km road to be constructed.
4. It's high Capex.

There may well be swings and roundabouts compared to HZM and I might well dip my toe in, in the future. But for me at this moment in time, it doesn't hold a light to Horizonte.

They do allow spread bets in SNG, ODX, GDR even SAR fyi.

IG who I use for spread bets and physical trades will not let you open a spread bet position, either long or short in VAL. I guess for companies that do it depends if the keep the position in house. If they think this is too risky I guess they may take a physical position to cover themselves.

I was tempted once but only with my spread bet position and not my physical holding. It was when JM did his webinar saying due to Covid finance was hopefully going to be put back to Q3/4. The stock opened up unchanged the next day and was going to close my long and go short, just for the day, but thought twice so didn't bother. Hey! Ho! Would have made some decent cash but would not even contemplate it now.

Well am happier after reading Susan's questionnaire responses plus those of Adam Hargreaves and our wonderful Grace. Sadly we are just a plaything for short term PI's but this will change. I am lucky as am still in profit, slight regret not to top slice before results, but that was my decision. Like you Dave I had a few oil stocks, some of which had dipped badly and one I bought at the bottom. I sold the lot to top up here as less risk and the expectation to multi bag seemed like a no brainer.
