Nope didn't happen ... normal service resumed. Won't make any difference if a MBO occurs but pretty grim to watch as it is stretched out

I feel the same but I do need to stop checking for any RNS at 7 each morning and be verry happy to see it just open at a new price

Stock, I agree 100%. The offer was decent and we should have been told what it was. Suddenly dropping the GS, after rejecting Apollo as he would lose control, shows what is coming IMHO

City, MM said there was no issue with the price on Apollo's bid just issues of guidance (He wouldn't have control) so the PEs are ready to offer fair value already

So a firm bid WAS made and then rejected in a meeting and there is even a picture of the meeting !!! Please DYOR before correcting people when they are right in the first place !!

A firm offer and being made public are two very different things. It was from MM's LinkedIn post that there were two bids which were knocked back by the 65% and then the 50% on the second bid. It's all there if you look

Something I do not get with this 'news'. Kelso own 6m shares (not all shares some made up of CFDs) and there is approximately 1500m share in circulation. So Kelso own 0.004% of THG. How do they apply ANY pressure to THG ?

The only way activist investors apply pressure is appealing to other investors that they put in with the activist to give what they said more weight and it should be 10 - 20% to apply even a bit of pressure.

Kelso are not even part of the 65% so, like the rest of us, they do not even know the Apollo offers. They have no more power than any other PI so how can news be even slightly true ?
