What do you feel the reason is, ROSH1976 ?

Well CHP has said that ANH has up till the 15th to " formally " make an announcement on the third block. As Columbia is behind us lets give it up to the 16th March. I have 2 multiple choices to ask people - results will be interesting if several reply Number 1 :- The announcement arrives and it is positive - CHP has the licence. Do you think the share price will do the following by friday :- a> Rise slightly, say around 18 p. b> Rise by around 25% c> Rise by 50% d> Rise by 75% or more Number 2 :- The announcement arrives and it is negative - CHP will not be rewarded the licence. The share price will do the following by friday :- a> stay above 16p b> drop between 14 and 16p c> drop to between 12 and 14p d> drop below 12p So multiple choice on the two senarios. Please take this in the spirit it is meant. It is not some deep rooted scientific research. I am just interested in what others feel even though some may not like to speciulate on the share price movement one way or the other. Good luck CHPers and i look forward to seeing your replies !!

Sit tight and wait for the announcement.

There are millions ... this is just the normal yo-yoing that CHP has been doing for the last three weeks .. not any great surge upwards.

You will see this company has had these jumps twice before ... a big jump with a steady decline back to around the same value before the jump 3 - 6 months afterwards. The last one was 3 years ago so it can't exactly be called a trend LOL

The next Interim result should be the end of June with the AGM end of April. But i feel any average - good news should push this one past 10p .. just my opinion. I am JUST hitting even now... bought in on friday at 6.95p. Today i am just sitting in wonder at how much i could have made from NCS ... at 3pm yesterday it was 0.18p and now it is 1.20p selling price ... someone just sold 1,000,000 shares at 1.20p. It would be great to be " in the know " LOL

It has had such a HUGE impact on the share price !!

CHPers .. wow chill !! CHP said they will make an announcement once they get word. There is a buzz going round about CHP and someone took advantage of that today with the VOG rumour. I feel that whenever the announcement comes this share will rise and people will be unable to screw around with it as easily as they can at the moment. Sit tight and have a wine, shot of vodka or a glass of guinness which is my choice ;-)

As i recall it was a share consolidation that went badly wrong and the price dropped to nothing. When QXL shares got consolidated someone on a post board used Dragon Oil as an example of what share consolidation can do to a share. Spooked me enough to sell my QXL shares for 115p as the share was given a " junk" status ... what a mistake that was , they went on to be the best share of 2005 and are now worth 11500p after hitting a close high of 16000p mid jan. Just goes to show even with a big loss if you can afford to hold on to them it is always best to do so as you never know.

If you look at the share price for today there is the normal little jump from 16.25 to 16.50 as per usual as it has been bouncing up and down for a few weeks now. Then at just after 11am the rise starts - could this be when the rumour started ? As far as being taken over by VOG, can't see it myself, but could be wrong. As far as the share price for CHP in short and long term - take a look at www.sharecrazy.com - anything from 30 - 90p in the short term ( the 30p was supposed to be reached last week in Feb ) and 200 - 238p+ long term ( the calculation for the long term was based on the full amount of oil there MAY be on the third licence site plus 18p for CHP's actual current assets. Of course you can't take all the oil out of the ground in one go so quoting the whole amount and adding that to the sp is crazy). So i am not even gonna try and guess, i just feel and this is my opinion only, people can still buy in and make a good midterm profit. Maybe a good short term one if you wanna jump in, gamble on the application and then sell straight after. What are other peoples opinions on what i have just said ?

But mattsmoney, could you explain how you have made £1,500 on a stock that has steadily dropped with only 10% spikes that didn't last that long.

Anyone would think a good announcement is coming in the next few days with all the buys, sheesh ;-) Good luck to all the CHPers that " kept the faith alive " !!

For someone who kept asking questions about the licence that i had already answered you sure seem to know quite a bit. As the Americans say " Were you blowing smoke up my ass " before ?

The company title is in Spanish .... phew i understand now ... i thought we were waiting for a company of dyslexics to sign the agreement ! Opps hope they don't read this before signing ;-)

Yes Tarzanhey, they "formally" have up to the 15th March to give an announcement and seen as today is the 13th they are taking thier sweet time especially seen as M Groak felt it would be one or two days last weekend, i will copy and paste the notification part of the e-mail again below :- "As soon as we have formal notification, we shall be making an announcement. In terms of the timetable, the National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH) has technically up to the 15th March to issue the formal notification, but we have been advised that we should know "very shortly", which we interpret as meaning in the next day or two. Since these are typically twenty year projects, you will appreciate that the ANH may not share our shareholders' sense of urgency." Anyone else think its wierd that the abbrev. for the National Hydrocarbons Agency is AHN ... why isn't it NHA ?

This may be " famous last words " and i hope it isn't. But i feel Chaco will get thier third licence, the BIGGIE, there will be a jump in price then a steady increase after the profit takers have moved in. This is all just my opinion. Any other opinions on this ?

Infact i also agree that, takeover or not, this share looks very healthy. What i was whining about was buying it towards the start of the day, when i KNEW it would drop a little, but i bought in anyway. Just having a little gripe about that. By the time the next set or results are out in May it SHOULD be well over 10p . The report on share crazy is very positive and the rise in this share has reflected it.
