Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
Anyone more savvy than me? I see a lot of recent director buys - but are they buys out of their own pocket (a massive positive to me) or to do with getting lots of options? Then this morning a transfer from Richard Howells to his PCA Claire Murphy whoever/whatever that is?
I see Richard Howell the CFO has been buying large chunks on a regular basis in the last year but I can't find data before that.
Is this something he does regardless or is there an uptick because of the share price slippage? It looks like perhaps he is sensing opportunity as he is putting a lot of his own money in?
Is the market anticipating net asset value write downs as the price seems weak or is this just a great time to be buying in?
I'm new to buying shares for dividend income so appreciate many of you will know of better opportunities but this looks pretty solid to me.
I'm feeling very chilled out this morning as a result of that interview. Access to Shaun Day like I've not heard before, very casual and insightful. It has made me want to zoom out and not keep looking at the share price as much as I do. Value will out in the end. Patience. I also bought Liam a coffee (something you can do if you are in the Telegram group) in appreciation of the time he puts in (hint to others haha).
Definitely agree Sally. This meetup was my second one and the vibe was different this time. Last time there was bubbling excitement, this time it was more chilled and relaxed. I met many of the same long-term holders (a good sign) and the attitude seemed to me to be, sit back and relax, everything is coming together slowly, have patience the gold isn't going anywhere and ignore the noise.
Well that is certainly what I am doing and thank you to everyone who made the effort to come out last night, good to meet you all:)
Something I spotted today was that if you Google searched Woodbois - at the top was a pay per click ad - linking to the news article in question. So someone was shelling out their own money to get clicks to that article.
Good point Wiggly, I had added words to that effect to the end of my post, then went back and deleted it but now that you have said it - yes, surely the strength of the continued rise (with hardly any pauses or dips) has indicated people behind the scenes know a lot more than us mere mortals on this board! I'm happy with that for sure.
I agree Profcheese, I've held for 2 years now but if I had traded a few as well as my main holding I would be massively ahead of where I am now (more or less breakeven).
In the meantime I have learned about RSI and technical analysis. I now see that there are times when a stock gets ahead of itself and is overheated. That is a great time to take some of the table and buy in again a little lower. You build up more shares that way.
Right now is a time where is should have already cooled off, the fact it hasn't is a wonderful sign of strength.
About 192,000. I started buying 2 years ago. Would have sold at some points if it wasn't for people like Paddygall, Tiggerman, Bamps, Hydrogen, Speedie, Jerry Spaniel. Massively helped meeting all of them (bar Paddy) at the Stag meetup. You do wonder about some of the posters here wondering who they are and what they are really like but fantastic, genuine people all of them and that has helped in these tough times in the last year.
Thanks Itsyou - I watched it all the way though and can sleep easier tonight!
Great presentation. Thought Adam was very good. They explained that summer was slow (thanks for being honest) but that things have kicked off since 1 September. They have been signing contracts but cannot always say this due to NDA's.
I'm optimistic and happy to hold, they seem to be building a fantastic business that will be very attractive to major pharmas.
If this unpaid invoice has been paid, surely we would have been celebrating these results as everything else sounded on track.
I missed the presentation, what was said? Is this going to be paid or is that in doubt?
If it slides into the next results then no problem at all!
Saw this today:
https://www.theguardian.com/science/2021/sep/13/nhs-england-announces-large-scale-trial-of-potential-early-cancer-test
Could this be why the second NHS trust have not signed up as we were expecting/hoping?
I see Grail have some major USA backers and their test detects more than 50 types of cancers, so that covers the whole range of major cancers, any concern guys?
At least ONC have other irons in the fire that are creating value.
I'm holding because whether it is this hole or another, I think the odds are better that they find something as opposed to never hitting anything in the basin. That said, there is obviously no guarantees. Looking optimistic so far though.
So, once a find is announced I was wondering where people think the maximum share price might be hit?
Upon the first result (huge spike) or keeping them until production? Or somewhere in between?
This project is pretty unique but I guess it would follow the path of oil or gold explorers?
I had a very entertaining evening meeting fellow shareholders last night at the Stag pub in Surrey and I would encourage anyone sitting on the fence, to try get to one in the future.
You will meet some very nice people from all walks of life and of course it is good to discuss the latest GGP news and gossip.
A huge thank you to Tiggerman for organising these events and it was good to also raise a generous amount for a very deserving charity too!
Thanks Mark
Not sure if I'm missing something but looking at the trades here on LSE it is a sea of red and trades a 6p or 6.012p when to buy is 6.1p so to me all of these are sells - and many hefty ones at that.
Virtually no buys which is not a good sign as the placing is supposed to be to grow the business. Poor reaction to the placing to be honest.
Just wanted to thank seisprocessor for taking the time to contribute and to say please do keep chipping in as it is much appreciated. This information is a real help to people like myself who don't fully understand the geology behind the project.
I watched the latest company presentation over the weekend and it has changed my perception of this project to the extent I'm willing to risk more given the upside possibilities.
I don't think people are realising just how much time, effort and research has gone into this by Helium One.
Wyndrum I just wanted to say that although you certainly seem to have a habit of ruffling people’s feathers, I for one appreciate your thoughts and opinions. From what I see, it is their inability to accept a different opinion to their own that is the problem, not you!
I’m also in Avacta and Bushveld where I’ve seen you defend technical analysis. So far on my investment journey I have purely gone on fundamentals but comments from you and some others I follow suggest that learning some TA, will be of great help to me so I will be sitting down over the weekend and learning all I can - silly not to soak in as much knowledge as possible. People like you and Trek kindly leave helpful nuggets of advice for those wise enough to appreciate them!
Charting could be invaluable here, I sliced yesterday to leave a free ride but there is always the possibility of a tempting re-entry. If not, doesn’t matter.
I wanted to do a quick summary of where I see things in case anyone wants to add anything of note which would help us all.
Shame to see the share price fall back from 36p odd but seems to be due to:
1. Too much exuberance coupled with disappointing INITIAL results.
2. Former CEO GH selling.
As a holder mainly in the 10-12p area I have evaluated things and decided to buy more with a long-term view.
I’m happy at this 22p level but do think the odds are GH would still be selling so price likely to stagnate until he stops.
I say this because the Bloomberg terminal that gave us this info is a snapshot. People have assumed he has stopped because he picked up a load of new share options. But who wouldn’t when they are at a super-low price? Doesn’t mean he isn’t now selling them off.
I will be very happy with Tymers view of a possible 88p in 2-3 years time. Assuming things take longer, so 4 years, means you are getting a 400% gain - so 100% a year! - I’m not sure where I see possible similar returns (!!!) so I'm very happy to buy more at this level and see where things go.
Finally, we are all on the same team here, aren’t we? Let’s keep this board constructive and worth reading please.
I'm really pleased that uncertainly is out the way. I've topped up by a small amount as my funds are limited but this seems to be building slowly but surely. Great analysis by Trek and David 1951c by the way. Placing at a premium and I liked the detail of the RNS. Everything seems very upbeat, on track and the mention of the possible dual-listing leapt out at me as a real positive. The more US exposure the better. I have more money elsewhere but it feels riskier!
Don’t think I’ve posted here before but a big hello to everyone especially Trek who I have been following and gaining from his invaluable help, first on AVCT and then ONC, SAVE & PUR.
Also big thanks to AG1989 whose very informative post history I scanned yesterday. We share GGP and LND as goldies.
This is almost my smallest position in my portfolio, the largest are GGP, PUR and AVCT and I had this down as speculative at best but the more I research the more intrigued I am. I see my GGP (I first bought in at the 8p level and I target 60p+) as continuing a very slow rise over time but this could be a much better bet in terms of % rise - but obviously with much higher risk.
I like the idea of being in something early for once and this looks good. I guess it is not about expecting a tier 1 discovery like GGP because they are incredibly rare but looking at the mcap of about £30m and saying could they have enough to persuade a major partner that there is enough gold at good grades to mine. It seems many companies find gold but then it never progresses. Or can they find enough promise so that they are bought up.
I think for now I will cautiously look to slowly up my stake as other shares hit targets. LND for one is looking to be bought out so maybe that is one I can shift over here once that potential is realised. Starting to get a lot more excited about ECR. I see a lot of chat about day to day movements and when are cores coming out. I prefer the AG1989 approach of sit back relax. This is going to be a long (and at most times seemingly boring) journey but looking forward to it playing out to the end game.
I was just about to post that -Eric Sprott has added, for the record for anyone, it says he now holds 47,868,421 shares.
