Don’t think I’ve posted here before but a big hello to everyone especially Trek who I have been following and gaining from his invaluable help, first on AVCT and then ONC, SAVE & PUR.

Also big thanks to AG1989 whose very informative post history I scanned yesterday. We share GGP and LND as goldies.

This is almost my smallest position in my portfolio, the largest are GGP, PUR and AVCT and I had this down as speculative at best but the more I research the more intrigued I am. I see my GGP (I first bought in at the 8p level and I target 60p+) as continuing a very slow rise over time but this could be a much better bet in terms of % rise - but obviously with much higher risk.

I like the idea of being in something early for once and this looks good. I guess it is not about expecting a tier 1 discovery like GGP because they are incredibly rare but looking at the mcap of about £30m and saying could they have enough to persuade a major partner that there is enough gold at good grades to mine. It seems many companies find gold but then it never progresses. Or can they find enough promise so that they are bought up.

I think for now I will cautiously look to slowly up my stake as other shares hit targets. LND for one is looking to be bought out so maybe that is one I can shift over here once that potential is realised. Starting to get a lot more excited about ECR. I see a lot of chat about day to day movements and when are cores coming out. I prefer the AG1989 approach of sit back relax. This is going to be a long (and at most times seemingly boring) journey but looking forward to it playing out to the end game.

I was just about to post that -Eric Sprott has added, for the record for anyone, it says he now holds 47,868,421 shares.

Blimey, so in August alone he invested approx £692,000 unless I got that completely wrong, probably got my dot on the calculator in the wrong place LOL.

I see institutions are about 40% of the share register, I'm not sure if that is fairly average or not but looks very encouraging indeed to me.

I know a lot of people not invested steer clear of this because of it being based in Nigeria, I have seen mention of CEO Andrew Knott having a large holding here.

This in no way guarantees anything but is clearly a very positive sign that he is prepared to risk his own money.

Just wondering if anyone can clarify how much he has put in - or is it the usual AIM thing where he has been given very cheap shares or free shares?

Just hoping he has genuinely put his money where his mouth is, so to speak.

Hoping for some help, I'm aware ECR looks good in terms of management, owning their own drill, finances, possible JV looking close and likely.

I'm also in a couple of others CGNR & LND that are also poised (but that do have definite resources).

The one bit I don't get is the most important - have they discovered actual gold yet? - or are we expecting they will because of the history and location?

Sorry to ask only so much talk of the possible JV it is hard to get to the hard facts of is there gold here or not!

Nice post Trek, like your confidence here. I do love that this share seems so quiet. Means I really may be in ahead of the herd for a change!

Todays news seems very positive although it has me a little confused. I thought if the share price hits £2 then Adam Hill (Among others) will get a LOT of shares under the incentive scheme.

So why buy now out of your personal money?

And why such a smallish sum (£10,000). Not sure what the point is (obviously a big £50k buy would have made a bold statement) unless perhaps giving a small sign that all is well and to keep the price firmed up, but why bother?

Also it says above (under director buys) that in June Adam had about 40,000 shares, now it says something like 3.5 million, not sure how that has happened because we haven't hit the £2 mark yet where the rewards start to kick in.

Still, a positive RNS, really good to see when directors buy and if I had extra funds I would top up a little.

This share has me a little confused because it is so quit here and on Twitter! I would have thought there would have been a huge buzz about this?

I dipped my toe in at 49p (after the placing). Now that I'm digging down further I'm amazed at the tech, possibilities and the tier 1 USA entertainment company there are working with.

Granted they did say that wasn't going to translate into immediate revenues - but if the JV goes well - it could be wow + lead to other JV's with competitors not wanting to get left behind.

Why the lack of interest, is it..

1. A stretched MCAP - now about £100 million with very very low revenue?
2. People are concerned it has gone too far too fast?
3. Concerns about monetizing the technology?
4. Other AIM shares will move up a lot quicker than this one?

Or is this a hidden gem that we should be buying more of?

Can anyone elaborate on which big players may have bought in the recent placing?

Did the directors also buy in?

Thank you David and Trek, as this board is so quiet I don't think we can be accused off cluttering up the board and going off-topic! I'm trying to accelerate my learning and avoid costly mistakes so it is really helpful to hear both your strategies. Now I'm looking forward to the next bit of news on ONC.

Thank you Tiggerman for being honest and transparent unlike most people. I have no issue, we should all slice sometimes and lock in gains. If you had sold out completely I would have taken a different view. And I took your bar room chat with a pinch of salt like I'm sure most others also did. I'd rather hear it

I’m feeling quite frankly a bit confused. I thought the idea was to pick a great prospect and stay in as long as the story remained positive. However I see that you frequently trade in and out. How do you make these decisions? Charting?

I feel I’m good at picking but am clueless on when to sell and then potentially get back in. If a share rises say 30-40% and each time I jump out - surely I am missing the great returns from riding a winner?

If you have any practical tips or strategies, I for one would be grateful to learn from them, thanks.

My experience from being invested in GGP is that it can be a big deal. The index have to buy a significant amount of shares and then they are in sticky hands. It doesn't always work but in GGP case - yes it did cause a lovely bump to the share price!

Investing is so difficult, I think 3 times it hit £2 and of course at that point you don't see any negatives just positives and you expect the train to keep steaming ahead. Greed is out in full force.

I think long-term this should be fantastic but you never know for certain. Avacta have everything to prove at this point compared to many companies with profitable products for sale. That is why taking some profits seems sensible when you are in a share that has surged.

The only thing is perhaps not to take too much profit because you do have to ride your winners and let them grow. You could be in the next 10-bagger.

As I said, this is such a difficult art. I think my next step may be to learn some charting which I gather can help tell when a share has got ahead of itself or is oversold.

Wyndrum, I appreciate your posts and the experience you are imparting.

I've been invested here since April through the ups and downs. How I wish I had traded but that is hindsight. I have learned at least by watching, so going forward I will do things very differently. Slicing some when gains are on paper is the way forward.

Because I am overweight in this I have reluctantly trimmed my early purchases which were in profit - just in case a left-field blow came in again. Plus I've lost a lot of faith in Alastair Smith who I feel has been poor. All that talk of news in June seems ridiculous now. I would rather him guide us realistically. I also think he should not have been selling his shares - make do with the house you have until you have delivered on something.

That said, the technology Avacta have seems to have amazing potential. I'm hopeful the recent recruits to the company are helping Dr Smith to take us to the next level.

December the 2nd. Time for Avacta to deliver an early Christmas present.

I've gone ahead and made a baby step in terms of starting my investment. I'm limited by my funds at the moment but will consider buying more here when (and if) I can take profits elsewhere!

I sense this is as good time as any to invest, yes earlier would have been better (obviously!) but it seems there is A LOT of news to come in 2021 so no reason for things to go backwards.

Hello everyone, I’m looking into ONC having noticed Trek Madone mention it - I have come across him in our mutual holdings in AVCT, PUR, & DDDD. In short I hold him in high regard.

I admit I’m a fairly new investor but I am eager to learn.

On first glance this looks a steady place to park my money, not one that looks like it could surge up (or down) like many others. I’m happy with that. Slow & steady.

I’m wondering about timing, could there be a placing or has that been discounted now? I read something about a credit facility and revenues are growing nicely (we believe) although much of this exact info is kept private.

Placings are fine if they are there to grow the business but I was just wondering if one might be due.

I can’t seem to find any obvious negatives here. The company seem supported by institutions, momentum is strong and growing.

The share options awarded in September will dilute us but then if the management achieve the targets that seems fine by me. It seems Adam Hill is doing a great job.

Am I wearing rose-tinted glasses?

What do you all think about how the company is run and how they are doing?

Placing was oversubscribed, more significantly, institutional investors have bought into the Verditek story - specifically Unicorn Asset Management.

Now financing doubts are out of the way, surely now the share price can climb once sales news rolls in.

Today is a good day as far as I am concerned.

I don't think it is a bad thing to mention because it clearly has had an effect on the share price. That is the point catwith9lives is making and we do need to talk negatives as well as positives so we get a balanced viewpoint. This RNS would normally result in at least 10% rise. Most importantly Cats point is that Rob Richards has only been in the job 5 minutes and look at the incredible job he is doing. Make your own decisions but for me today is further proof of concept. Patience is required but I expect more of these order wins to start to snowball in.

With the doubt being sown by TW allegations, some investors probably getting spooked because it has been over a month since last order announced. So all we have had since then is negativity.

With frequent order newsflow TW will be forgotten about. I did think this week there would have been another order RNS. Hopefully it is not far away.
