Bayu is now a carbon capture inside TL waters, until now TG have held nothing outside their own territory on/offshore.
The article refs multiple shipborne LNG Cargoes per year for Glencore Singapore, they are still to resolve their own Gas/lng Imports commitment 3 power stations powered by "gas when it becomes available" as other gas is always available, taken that to be their own gas and long hoped , Chuditch first 1-2 drills would be pencilled in for that project.
Barossa , Chuditch and Bayu all configured for Shipborne loads/transfers but the best fit for the article, is they have taken an interest in Barossa for its 2025/26 production revenues, making it even more likely, Chuditch will get fast tracked to further fill their massive gap in revenues the next few years, finally woken up to the fiscal cliff they face and need to start acting now, others have waited 23 years for Sunrise and still wait, TL themselves can no longer wait and appear to have started to act, just like they did going from a free carry on Chuditch to paying their way recently.
All good signs they will now take what they can get to fill the void, until Sunrise HUB/Beaco/Natarbora circa 2030/31 if ever becomes a reality, craved for by instigator Gusmao for 23 years, his legacy, he won't let go.
So excellent news if they are expanding their horizons with Santos now.
That or the journo has got cross wires on the deal, being the same percentage as Santos gave to TL for the switch to carbon project at Bayu but then where did Gas Lng exports Glencore come into it if not a Barossa deal, Bayu on fumes not piping for a while now, just on fumes trickle flow and intermittent offloads on a ship to DARWIN, its depleted of gas.
