It all Boil's down to Sunda Energy 😉😂
Timor leste on public holiday 9th - 11th September for the pope's visit, so do not expect any news until the end of the week, especially if we are linked with the Islands own gas imports supply needs project (separate from Sun hub exports)
Metinaro FID now that long overdue, beginning to wonder if, Gusmao now back in the van, has moved it back into one project, was originally all together on the South East Coast Beaco.
Beaco now seems in doubt itself (despite millions spent roads to, initial port dev etc) most of recent comms, have been referring to Natarbora the alternate site, central south coast near the Betano Oil refinery and power stations.
Natarbora would be a great location for Chuditch , almost a straight line North, no need to ship around the Island to Metinaro near capital Dili on the North Coast, easy shipping OR could also beg the question, what about a pipeline?
connect later under FFD 20-30 wells.
If they bin Beaco, the Sunrise line would run west then cut across the ultra deep Timor Trench near to Natarbora, with a possible straight line pipe from Chuditch to meet it, or vice versa even.
PM Rauk split Gusmao original plan into two projects, the earlier required Gas/LNG Imports and up to 120 days storage or all fuels (Metinaro Northern project circa by 2025/26 to feed 3 Island power stations) and the 20 year long running saga Sunrise/Beaco (Southern project circa 2030/31) vice Gusmao project Tasi Mane (male sea)
Metinaro and Beaco comms quiet, lots recently on alt site Natarbora for Sunrise, perhaps as said, Gusmao has lumped it all back together at Natarbora? , perhaps an easier crossing point of the trench.
Same area that Conoco Phillips proposed taking Bayu - Undan production , via a suspended bridge pipline to TL, until shareholders shot it down on cost and up keep and Conoco took it to Darwin.
Island happy to back down as had bug ger and all revenues from anything at that time, with Bayu expected to be a 15-20 year ops life, Sunrise 30+ and Kelp 10-14.5 tcf a monster in reserve......Heels firmly dug in on , the on Island plan ever since. All other Darwin/FLNG requests DENIED..........
