The buyer could have 50-100 years of production, win win for them.

Meadow, we would still have their own domestic Gas/LNG imports terminal project in play, be that Metinaro OR it also goes to Natarbora, was all one project at Beaco circa 2002 but 2021 split and the Imports terminal planned to be operational 5-6 years before Sunrise would see the light of day/if ever. 2 separate projects, the domestic plan , not tied in with Sunrise.

Be great if they agree but to me even if they do not, the Northern plan Metinaro or could now be the alt Natarbora location (Gusmao could have put it back to HIS original 2002 concept) we are still in play with first gas and they still have the domestic project on the books.

Would more than half transportation costs from Chuditch via ships and open up a longer term FFD 25-30 wellheads pipeline option , directly North to Natarbora also.

IMO , this is very good news for the advancement of Chuditch and its potential to be advanced, to fulfil TL Gov's own plans for Gas/LNG (when available) domestic security and supplying its 3 to be Gas power stations, to give 100% of Timor Leste coverage and stable electricity supply, plan was by 2025/2026 (probably slid since inception 2021)

Still long before the last tender dates for Sunrise 2030/2031, if they get on with it soon.......GLALTH.

AB seemed very chipper and hopeful, that all would be sorted before now, longer it goes it does seem, he is also having to wait on others decisions, so those other potential partners can come on board and make their plans accordingly.

All the recent snippets, keep referring to Natarbora, if that indeed is now their focus, especially if Gusmao has reverted all to a one site approach (imports/exports) together at Natarbora, its potentially great news for Chuditch and its economics.

Chuditch a pretty much straight line North to central South Coast Natarbora, cheaper production, not having to ship gas around the Island to Metinaro near Dili, also brings into play a potential future FFD pipeline tie in to offshore Natabora as Sunrise pipe would be West bound to the Natarbora area , to then cross the very deep Timor Trench, vice a pipe North from Sunrise itself to the East Coast (Beaco)

If that is now their planning co-located facilities , near the Betano Oil refinery and Power Station, the Import Terminal would be completed, years ahead of the rest, again great for a potential Chuditch supply deal.......

All the recent talk has been about NATARBORA ,it is an alternative to Beaco on the South East Coast, where originally Gusmao wanted everything together, Gas/LNG Import terminal for domestic supply and multi string Export terminal, all connected to a pipeline from Sunrise.

(Has Gusmao moved it all back together at NATARBORA?)

2024 - Gov owned T/Gap move from a traditional position of FREE CARRIES only outside of Sunrise, had zero % of that until giving a loan to TG, so Shell and Conoco Phillips could finally leave with some compensation ($650m for the $400m+ spent on Sunrise establishing 5tcf plus 225-250mb condensate, having said leaving for many years, Sunrise mothballed since 2004.

2024 TG also moved into a deal with Santos, Barossa HUB new pipeline to Darwin refinery complex, with its old pipeline converted to wastes Darwin-Bayu Undan storage.

Both moves, to get revenues flowing, now knowing, the wait for a co-ordinated development of the 3 fields, not possible, they cannot wait that long , or risk bankruptcy.

With AB and his long term vision (beyond Chuditch) of building Sunda Energy into a mid tier Asian Gas company, latest RNA update over the rns news wire, he is not slowing down, with a 2nd potentially highly charged gas asset in another prolific gas discovery region.........Sunda moving on from its old names and legacies, AB foot firmly on the organic and production revenues growth path, Sunda will no longer be a market plaything, seen as a one trick pony that may or may not happen..................its already happening imo, plans and growth, not Yeo ho ho decade of waiting for something to happen, inactive, now very much PROACTIVE under AB, Gordon and the rest of his 5 star team.........GLALTH

These include a number of possible new ventures where significant interests in material gas assets with low costs of entry may be accessed. One of these initiatives has resulted in the licence round applications being made in the 1st Conventional Energy Bid Round of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao ("BARMM") in the Philippines. These applications have been made in a joint venture partnership with three other companies and, if successful, Sunda expects to hold a 37.5% non-operated interest

Always been undervalued due to TL often speaking with forked tongue and doubt that other options will get green light (a permit denied all others for Darwin/FLNG previously) with a perception of all oil and gas roads lead to onshore TL.

Clearly, recent moves, indicate a softening of that position, now very much in their interests to fully support Sunda's FPSO planning, for both revenues and the Domestic supply plan.

Until they make it clear though, ideally with a big fat YES you can to Sunda, the majority of the Industry waits for Sunrise agreement, before committing millions into new exploration (Sunrise mothballed 2004 majors had spent over $400m only to be told NO twice , Darwin and FLNG so the exodus happened)

Also why the 2 1/2 year bid round was a complete flake, only 9 bids on 7 of 18 licenses, for perspective during that same period Nigeria offered 57 licenses and had over 1,600 bids. If you read the blurb on those, the Nigerian (part returns of area's ) looked far less attractive than what was on offer in the underexplored Timor Leste area of the Timor Sea...

Sunrise resolved is huge and would reopen the floodgates into TL's waters, they know what they left behind, with much more to find in TL's underexplored waters.

To me, an early YES statement by H&G, supporting Sunda's after drilling production plans, would have a similar effect on the fence sitting players that surround us.

Shell , Conoco Phillips , Exxon Mobil , Nexen , BHP , Inpex and more had holding and operations, with nowhere to go.

Sunrise sorted or evidence Chuditch will be permitted an alternate plan (unlike the past) WILL bring them back, to much to ignore, Sunrise 5tcf valued at $60+ billion over production life, Chuditch $40 billion (Shell original owner said Chuditch 5tcf with upside, probably bigger than Sunrise on full license dev, Sunda 3.5 tcf only played with part)

Not to mention Kelp (Mobil 1998 discovery drill) they placed 10.5-14.5 TCF on it and left it behind, bigger if true, than both Sunrise and Chuditch put together, plus any new discoveries (which will happen Area R and P at least)

One little spark , is all it will take for Sunda , to MULTI MEGA BAG..............glalth's

Important if it's settled in their favour, puts in place a first ever production path, they will green light all for, ideally they are in such a corner now (sun at least 6 years away) Chuditch has become more important for them to achieve other objectives until it/if ever does become a reality (Building not 1001 more meetings) .

Revenues and the Gas from Chuditch, could support the Islands finances and also supply the gas for their other high profile project, the National Grid to cover 100% of all TL, Powered by 3 Gas power stations ( being converted from Diesel) to save on annual costs and unreliability issues.

Instigated by PM Rauk , wanted all done by 2025/2026, long before GS would be on the books, stated as when gas becomes available, he was talking their own GAS and already highlighted Sunrise years after the Metinaro target.

Only Chuditch positioned to fill that requirement "own gas"

Remains to be seen if that Metinaro plan remains in place, FID long overdue (by end of 2023 or in Q1 2024 LATEST)

Rauk removed the Domestic Energy security project and facilities from Gusmao's original Beaco/Tasi Mane project,

he's back in charge, so might just tit for tat , move it back to Beaco or the alternate site at Natarbora, near the already existing Oil refinery and power stations at Betano.

Location would be good for us, Natarbora pretty much a straight line North from Chuditch to the central TL South Coast

Metinaro up and round the corner of the Island, near the capital Dili, which would cost more in transportation via ship.

Natarbora, if chosen could open Chuditch up for a full scale 25-30 wells FFD pipeline to Natarbora. 🤔

Nothing has changed, still down to Woodside/OZ to do what is required this time, TL won't accept anything else.

Or step out of the way, so China/Qatar/others that have said could help.

Maritime boundary and Sunrise all tied together, so OZ would have to be compensated. Line in the agreement made, OZ promised not to issue a license in their waters bordering Greater Sunrise, as long as the agreement remained in place, so could not be DRAINED from their waters.
