Karachi: Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal spearheaded the first provincial workshop on Uraan Pakistan at CM Sindh House Karachi today. The session was graced by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Senior Minister Sindh Sharjeel Inam Memon, Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, members of chambers of commerce and industries, senior federal and provincial bureaucrats, and prominent people from civil society, business community, academia and media. In his welcome note, Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Syed Nasir Hussain Shah told the workshop participants that Sindh is the flag bearer province in implementing the 5Es framework of Uraan Pakistan program as it is already working on projects aimed at economic revival, energy generation and conservation of environment.

The TL-SO-22-23 Production Sharing Contract was signed between ANP and Eni on 14 December 2023. The contract area, previously known as Block P, is located in the southern coast of the Timor-Leste Sea, between the Greater Sunrise gas fields to the north and the Chuditch gas field to the south. This Block was among the 18 Blocks that the Timor-Leste government released through the Timor-Leste Second Licensing Round 2019/2022.

Under this Production Sharing Agreement, Eni and its newly formed Joint Venture partner, TIMOR GAP, are engaged in an active work program that includes seismic and drilling activities.

This signing ceremony paves the way for close collaboration between Timor-Leste and Eni to further explore oil and gas within national jurisdictions and promote the development of the industry in the country.

The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Francisco da Costa Monteiro, witnessed, on February 24, 2024, the signing of the Agreement for the Assignment and Acceptance of the State's Participation in Petroleum Operations under the Production Sharing Contract for Contract Area PSC-TL-SO-22-23.

This is Area P that links the Sunrise and Chuditch blocks.........

US Ambassador gets a gong.......Mobil (ExxonMobil) originally had the gas giant Kelp, rating it 10.5-14 TCF, bigger than Sunrise and Chuditch put together..........

They still have some operations around Australia, Mobil Kelp, Shell Chuditch and Sunrise, Nexen , BHP , Conoco Phillips Inpex etc all departed frustrated by the Chuckle brothers, Inpex appear to have returned, will some of the others ????

An independent report declared all competing options technically viable, adding that onshore processing in Timor-Leste would likely return greater benefits to the country — a point Dili is keenly emphasising. Woodside itself is reported to have an open mind on the issue. Ramos-Horta recently declared that Timor-Leste would prefer to work with Australia and the existing partners in the joint venture, stating that Timor-Leste has been “holding off” interest from Chinese and Kuwaiti firms

Recent progress on negotiations over the Greater Sunrise oil and gas field has also sparked optimism in Dili. Negotiator Steve Bracks and his Timorese counterparts have seemingly satisfied both Australia and Timor-Leste and drawn already improved bilateral ties closer.

Australia will allocate close to $50 million from its future royalties to a dedicated infrastructure fund for Timor-Leste in a deal that will also include an increase to 10,000 in the number of East Timorese places in Australia’s labour mobility schemes by 2027–28, with skills training and English-language programs included. Australia’s willingness to cut a deal clearly reflects the evolving geopolitical dynamics of the Indo-Pacific.

But the position of Greater Sunrise’s commercial partner — whether it’s Woodside Energy or any future owner — is likely to determine the major question of whether the field’s oil and gas is processed in Timor-Leste or Australia.

If true what Mobil (ExxonMobil) said back in the 90's about Kelp, likewise Shell about future Chuditch development and the Known Greater Sunrise (Sunrise 5 tcf 850mboe Troubadour 210-230mb Condensate) the 3 combined, could give onshore TL complex 25-30 TCF 4250 - 5100 mboe, with whatever found by Santos Area R , ENI Area P and others to follow.......

While Boil (Sunda) talking having completed on various methods, had now settled on Chuditch via FPSO

As predicted (Gusmao comment when previously PM) its all ours it will all come to the Island, got his way, as it appears it will be, just a Natarbora vice Beaco...........GLALTH

Presuming as Metinaro comms have been dead and buried for a long time, it also has been put back in the original Tasi Plan with its Gas/LNG Imports terminal also to go to Natarbora ( Gusmao's original 2002 vision had all at Beaco and he's the big cheese again now, so suspect as posted before, he's put the entire gang back together at Natarbora........

And that's a blinding section, that is the FIRST TIME, something has been published, that confirms Tasi Mane Beaco/Betano is dead and buried, with all roads now leading to Natarbora 🤔

To achieve this, Minister Monteiro outlined the government’s strategic programs, particularly the Tasi Mane Project, which includes the Suai Supply Base, the Natarbora Refinery, a petrochemical complex, and a Liquefied Natural Gas

(LNG) plant.

Government presents priorities and programs to ambassadors accredited in Timor-Leste

Following the reception hosted by the Presidency of the Republic for foreign ambassadors accredited in Timor-Leste, both resident and non-resident, the Government organized today, February 20, 2025, a presentation session to inform diplomats of the main initiatives, programs and priorities of the IX Constitutional Government.

The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Francisco da Costa Monteiro, presented the Government’s strategy for the sustainable development of the oil and mining sector, highlighting the opportunities and challenges facing the country. “Timor-Leste has vast natural resources and our commitment is to maximize their use to generate economic growth and create value for the population”, he said. The Minister also outlined the legal and institutional framework of the sector, addressing the main potential for onshore and offshore development, as well as the prospects for mining. He also highlighted the importance of the TLNG (Timor-Leste Liquefied Natural Gas) project and its potential to “generate a huge socio-economic impact in Timor-Leste”.

Our re run of the 2013 3d seismic (part license only) confirmed one of those additional leads Shell referred to, was its Bandicoot, renamed Quokka by Sunda but Shell had several more leads to the South / South West of the license...

Chuditch , will only grow with development, be that with Sunda still in play, or moved aside, our little Minnow taken out by a sector Shark, looking at the potential $100+ Billions Chuditch could make from a 30 year production cycle, the more we prove up, the more the Sharks will want a bite of those huge potential revenues 🤔...........GLALTH.

and Meadow, do not think we have to worry about successful drill, in 1998 Super Major gave ALL Chuditch follow on wells a rating of 100% COS, they having drilled CH-1 into a thin edge of the reservoir.

CH-2 location predicted to be SIX TIMES the thickness reservoir of ch-1, fully expect GIIP figures to increase post drill.

Plus its 27 years since, with now owned by ENI Area P , long thought to contain the Hydrocarbon Kitchen that feeds both Sunrise and Chudich, hope its been hungry and been feeding well for the past 27 years. 😉😅
