Earlier post ,where did you get 30b from , it was only £16-$18 Billion from a previous set of studies, as Meg CEO of Woodside said when the new/latest one's implemented, with modern tech, materials and modular design, this could be lot cheaper proposition than before (multiple studies done by both sides over the years)
COS , in 1998 Super Major Shell declared, having mapped the entire license (not just the bit played with by boil/snda) and successfully drilled CH-1 on the edge of the reservoir (25 reservoir thickness) it had Chuditch LICENSE as probably being BIGGER than Sunrise of full development, many additional leads BUT
Currently Chuditch , Wombat and Bilby (now renamed Chud, Chud SW , Chud N) Stand at over 5 tcf (850mboe) with many upside leads to the South and South West (including Bandicoot , now Quokka off Boil's seismic rerun of 2013 data) Also if as they suspect all 3 Chud's linked , that area alone could more than double to over 10 tcf ( 1.7 Billion boe)
CH-2 (150) Location on seismic is ""SIX TIMES THICKER" reservoir than CH1 (25), where post drilling Super Major SHELL placed a 100% COS on ALL future Chuditch drills, as gas flowed freely at it's on the edge of reservoir CH1 discovery drill.
Mobil successfully drilled nearby Kelp also in 1998 , they put a whopping 10.5 - 14 tcf (up to 2.3 billion boe) bigger than Sunrise and Chuditch put together a.t.t
Shell planned to FLNG ships being built nearby in Korea , for Sunrise, Chuditch (plenty big enough for a standalone in their book, TL Gov would not permit, Shell moved Chuditch on (still an Australian license at this point) the Norwegians and partner that took it, also wanted to FLNG Chuditch (all fell away into the ether)
Until Sundergas awarded NON TENDER Chuditch Nov 2019 for services rendered, setting up the local industry and training since 2016 , long before Boil (Now Sunda Energy) enter the fray , failing to RTO Sundagas but taking an initial
33% Sundagas (25% Chuditch) and the rest is history.........
Upshot, SM Shell, it's big, it's only going to get bigger, after drilling additional 100% COS development to production wells, their plan for the local FLNG ships, where up to 26/28 wellheads per ship on standalone stations.........GLA
Drill baby Drill...............
