Shell after taking a financial fine hammering in the courts of the Hague around 2-3 years ago, ceo stated, leaving oil behind, will now focus on , large scale Blue/Green Gas projects (Hydrogen/Ammonia etc) and Gas INFRASTRUCTURE operation.

So not totally out of the question, they, if things look like finally progressing to BUILD ONSHORE refineries (23 Years and counting/not a brick or block laid) , they might fancy running the show and flow of all TL's Gas Fields........GLALTH

As AB said , Philippines no immediate early funding required, also one of the JV partners is operator and will be leading the way as far as timescales go, they have likewise not indicated other than early stage mapping and some seismic, so a drill probably 2 years away at least, by which time AB will be hoping to have progressed Chudtich close to production, to fund it. Or taken a Godfather SALE offer........ 🤔

Perhaps, perhaps not, Shell had both Chuditch and Greater Sunrise originally, said leaving frustrated after NO you can't in 2002 and 2008 (Darwin / FLNG) said leaving, finally escaped with some compensation 2019. Think they will want some real assurances , or perhaps the ownership and running of the onshore complex? , before they will ever return.
